Anna paced Jeremys bedroom nervously. This could go one of two ways. He could pick her up and spin her around and they could kiss like you see in the movies....or he could hate her for what she put him through. It didn't surprise her that he had used her blood, that he wanted to turn off his emotions. He had lost so much.
She hated herself for leaving like that but had she told him, John would have known. It had to be real. His pain had to be real. There was no way she could have survived otherwise, and it was still risking a lot being back here. But would he understand that? Would he be able to forgive her for running? She came back as soon as she could.
The second Damon called her, the second she heard the words "all clear," she was at the airport in Paris boarding a plane for the US. She needed him back. She needed him to forgive him. With her mother dead, Jeremy was all she really had left. She was holding on to her humanity for dear life. This was her last shot.
She heard the front door shut and she knew it was him. She could hear his heart beat. She leaned against his desk and waited, holding her breath.

Jeremy had to work that day. He spent all day at school and then after school he started his new job at the Mystic Grill. Matt was already working there and he basically helped Jeremy get the job which he appreciated. This was his first day on the job and Matt would be working that night as well. Basically it was going to be Matt’s job to train Jeremy on what he had to do. He figured it would be easy work, tough but easy work. He didn’t mind working though because he got to earn money. Plus this was a good distraction from losing his parents, Vicky, and Anna. Jeremy had liked Vicky and Anna a lot. He was having a great time with both of them when he lost them. First he lost Vicky and Anna was helping him out with that. Then he learned about vampires and how Anna was one and then he lost her.
He even tried to kill himself so that he could be with Anna but that didn’t work out so well. He had a talk with Elena though and he realized how stupid he was to do that. So Jeremy got a job at the Mystic Grill. He couldn’t wait to start working and earning his own money. He was hoping that he would be able to save up some money to get himself a car. That would be nice so he didn’t have to walk around town though he didn’t mind. Sometimes walking around town was a good way to clear the head, which came in handy a lot of times especially when he needed to cool down. School was over and it was time to head to work. He left the school and headed towards the Mystic Grill. He was walking because Matt wouldn’t be there for a while as he had football practice. Jeremy would be at work early but that just meant he could work on his homework until it was time to clock in. He figured that would be better so he wouldn’t have to stay up too late trying to finish it later tonight. He got to the Mystic Grill and walked in saying hey to some kids who were already there that he knew. He sat down and started working on his homework.
Couple hours later it was time to clock in; Matt walked in just when Jeremy clocked in. Hey Matt he said as he watched Matt clock in. Matt showed him everything that his new job entitled him to do. He started working and it took a while but he got the hang of it. He actually started to enjoy the job so far. He had a dinner break after Matt did because two guys called in sick so Jeremy and Matt said they would work over time. After his break he went back to work. Hours passed and before he knew it the time was just a little past ten. He sighed and filled up a glass for some older guy.
Finally he got off work and headed home. Elena would be out tonight with Caroline and Bonnie. They had a girls night at Caroline’s house so Jeremy would have the house to himself that night. He walked home, Matt had offered him a ride but he didn’t mind walking. He went into the house after using his key to unlock it and walked in. He stretched a bit and went upstairs. He went into his room, he was gonna take a shower now, and he saw someone who he thought was dead. Anna. He froze there staring at her. Anna he said not believing his eyes. This was not going to be good. He was starting to have feelings for Bonnie and he had finally gotten over Anna and now here she was in his room

Anna found herself flinching hearing the way he said her name. Hate was absent in his voice, but so was love. She swallowed and wrung her hands nervously. That's okay. She told herself. You expected this, you can't just fake your own death for a couple weeks and not expect someone to move on.
She looked Jeremy over carefully. She had played this scene over in her heads a milllion times, each time ending a different way. The entire way to France she had tortured herself by envisioning him yelling and throwing things and kicking her out, telling her that if she ever came back, he would kill her. She did this on and off throughout the trip, coming dangerously close to turning off her humanity.
Jeremy...please say something... She managed to squeak. No one had ever made her this nervous. Well ther was Gregoire, a boy that liked her when she was human. Her older brother beat him up once when he had tried to kiss her. That was over 500 years ago, though. Jeremy was the first guy she ever actually cared about. She took a tiny step toward him, reaching out to him as if beggin him to accept her. I'm so sorry. NOTES || OUTFIT || here.[/tt]

----------------------- ----------------------- Jeremy had thought that Anna was dead. He had thought that he had lost her so he finally started moving on. He started to like Bonnie Bennett and he was confused on those feelings right now. He needed to talk to his sister Elena and someone else who had more experience with all this. Jeremy didn’t have that much experience and he didn’t have the best of luck when it came to girls. He had no idea why but he couldn’t dwell on that now.
He had gotten home and walked upstairs only to find his ex-girlfriend, Anna, standing there in his room. He stood there shocked. He said her name and she asked him to not be mad at her. Jeremy had no idea how to feel right now. Should he be mad? Where had she been when he thought she was dead? A million thoughts were running through his head. He couldn’t concentrate on just one though. He had no idea what he was going to or what he even should say to her right now. Why would she pretend to be dead? Why would she put him through what she did?
Jeremy needed answers to a million questions. He settled on just one question right now. Why…why Anna he asked her his voice cracking a bit. He cleared his throat so that wouldn’t happen again. He ran a hand through his hair trying to think beyond the fog that was filling up his head. He was very surprised to see Anna standing there in his room. What if she was a ghost though? He went over to her and touched her. Nope she was very real and right now he was standing very close to a girl he had loved and thought he had lost her. The question was what should he do now.

Her heart shattered when his voice cracked. She had hurt him so much. She didn't know what to say. In all honesty, she was holding back tears. She never meant to do this...maybe she should have just stayed away.
No. That was a horrible idea. Damon had called on her just in time. She was so close to going on another murdurous streak when he had, and Jeremy was the only thing keeping her in tact.
Jer... She breathed as he stepped towards her. He reached out for her and she felt his warm hand touch her cheek. She held it there, listening to his pulse, feeling it, cherishing it. He was alive. They were together. That was all that mattered. It was John. When he lit the fire that night, he staked me first. He wanted to make sure I was dead. I managed to get away, but I couldn't just escape the fire. It had to look like I hadn't made it. He had to stop looking for me. As soon as I learned it was safe, I came back. She searched his eyes for any sign of forgiveness or understanding. All she was finding was hurt. I'm so sorry I hurt you. Maybe she shouldn't have come back, afterall. NOTES || OUTFIT || here.[/tt]
