personality:
Ezra is energetic and upbeat. Always the optimist more or less, She tries not to let much get her down. Ezra is one to speak her mind and doesn't really hold back on anything. Except when it can ruin a friendship, shes honest to a fault. She does have a tendency to keep to herself more than put herself into social situations. Shes not an outcast, just solitary.
When it comes to people, shes a genuinely friendly person when someone gets to know her. And sometimes, her friendliness can lead to trouble by her making friends with the wrong kinds of people. She knows how to talk to guys better than she knows how to talk with other girls. Growing up with her father and brother all her life has made her more open around guys than other girls. She feels a bit out of sorts around other girls, and doesn't quite know how to act. Shes a bit of a goofball sometimes and can be pretty sarcastic more often than not, but is serious when she needs to be.

history:
When her brother was just about 8, Ezra was born. Their parents were elated that they would be having a daughter, and Zachary was a little on edge about having a little sister but secretly he was thrilled to be the big brother. However, tragedy was in the wake of their happiness. The doctors told her that she was high risk, and that there would certainly be complications, and worst scenario was that she may not make it. Amelia didn't pay any mind to it of course, she believed she would be able to handle it and that things would be fine.
When Amelia went into labor, it was rough, and trying. She was losing more blood by the minute and her heart was being stressed to massive proportions. An emergency C section was done, as Ezra was breach and they couldn't turn her. The doctors and nurses did everything they could, but in the end, Ezra was born, and Amelia died. They said that the ordeal was just too much on her, and her systems shut down. Stephen was torn between the grief of losing his wife, and the happiness at the birth of his daughter. Zachary was just angry, and he stayed that way for awhile before he got over it and finally warmed up to his sister.
Ezra didn't understand why she didn't have her mother around until she was older, and felt responsible for her mothers death when she understood what had happened. Naturally she never told her brother or father she felt this way, knowing they would tell her it was an accident or something to that effect. She knew it was her fault and not much was going to sway that thought. She shoulders the blame still, and it taxes her daily. Especially when seeing mothers and their daughters around, doing things that only a mother and daughter could. It wrenches at her insides, and more often than not, she escapes into the woods to get away from it.
About 2 years ago, she and her brother and father packed up and left their lifelong home for somewhere new. Thats when they found Mystic Falls. It was a quiet place. Small town-y and set in beautiful landscape. Her father was ecstatic that he was able to get his transfer done so he could still remain a police officer. Her brother was happy to have found a garage to work at, and Ezra? She was just enjoying the change.
Since she moved here shes made a few close friends, and has been relatively happy. And she can't seem to shake the feeling that something more is happening in the quiet little town..

It was late, and all was quiet in the Gryffindor common room. Most had gone off to bed, and the rest had left somewhere. Juliet was alone, save for the crackling fireplace, and someones cat sleeping in her lap. She had originally planed to read a few pages of a book, maybe write a letter to her father and uncle, and go to sleep. But enter the feline, and a second wind of feeling awake, and there she was, reading away, and petting the ball of fur on her lap.
She was fond of the quiet evenings. It gave her time to think and reflect on things. Eventually she would have to come to terms with her mother and brothers passing, to properly grieve. But so often she had pushed it aside. She felt there was no need for her to get all worked up and sobbing over something she couldn't change. She wasn't cold hearted, but she had built up a wall that blocked off all the sadness about it. Keeping it locked away and sheltered.
Instead she took the time to think about the future, the outcome that would come from the things that had passed. The Wars, the trials and tribulations the whole wizarding world had gone through. It was dark times, but surely everything would balance out in the end. Things had to go back to normal, and their world would be safe again. Or so she hoped alteast.
The hours were leaning into the dead of the night. That silent time before the hints of dawn creeped over the horizon. Her eyes were getting heavy, and she wasn't really making out all the words on the pages. They blurred together as she drifted off, and she dreamed.
There is usually always a tell tale sign that you're dreaming. Something that doesn't quite make sense, or someone who shouldn't be there. Or something as simple as the sky is purple and the grass is blue. But there is always something, whether it goes noticed or not. For Juliet, her dreams always contained a mist. No matter where she was, there was always a light misty fog, that ebbed and flowed throughout. This time was no different.
She was walking through the dense mist, the feeling of cool, wet grass brushing her ankles. Tall trees were surrounding her, and the sky was black as pitch. She swirled around, looking for someone, anyone to tell her where she was. But there was no one. She called out into the dark, but no sound came out. So she ran. She ran for what felt like hours, the same surroundings the whole time, as if they were following her. Until finally she saw a figure, nothing more than a blotchy outline, but it was a person nonetheless. She bolted for the figure, the closer she got, the further it seemed to be. And then right as she was finally closing in, seeing more detail to the shape than just mere shadow, she heard a voice, calling out to her.
"Juliet. Juliet, wake up."
She gasped lightly as she jolted awake, one of her Housemates looking down at her quizzically. The cat was still asleep in her lap and her book had fallen to the floor. She closed her eyes and shook her head, the remnants of the dream fading away.
