Meet Damon Salvatore.

Shoot him? You'll just piss him off and he'll steal your girlfriend.

Cage him up, he'll compel someone to bust him out and bag your wife. He's smart, he can be charming when he wants to be, and he absolutely will not stop until you're in his bed. That's just the kind of guy that he is.

Granted, he has a serious thing for Katherine, but that's never stopped him before. The same things that draw people to him tend to repel others.

Damon is 5'8", 160lbs. and very handsome. He has black hair and pale blue eyes that make him look a little crazy. Damon is also incredibly pale and completely unable to tan. When feeding, the irises in Damon's eyes turn black and the whites turn red, black veins extend from his eyes, down over his cheeks and his teeth elongate into fangs. Damon appears to be around 25 years old. He prefers dark jeans, black tops (sweaters, button-ups, t-shirts, etc.), his black leather jacket and stylish black boots.

He is also capable of getting inside of other people's heads. He's capable of compelling people with his mind and memory alteration and also possess the ability to get inside of dreams. Damon is also a very charming man, he's just as likely to get his way with a smirk and a grin as he is by using his powers, he has an inborn ability to make people want to help him.

Damon is a hopeless romantic. For all that he's flirty and kind of a slut, he loves very deeply and it never really goes away. He knew Katherine was with others (including his brother) but didn't mind, so long as she loved only him. He's obsessive and driven and doesn't let go of anything easily, least of all those he cares about. Being a vampire warps your perceptions and so his very human love and infatuation with Katherine and his rivalry and incredibly strong relationship with his brother got tangled up together, so he's obsessed with Katherine and eternally at odds with Stefan.

He wants to come first, he wants to be the person that someone chooses to be with, first and foremost. He wants to be recognized on his own terms as good enough for them no matter what or who he is or looks like. And to this day, Damon hasn't found it.

Pain, guilt, regret, all of it is optional and Damon doesn't always opt-in. He's kind of a sociopath in that he doesn't choose not to kill people because it's wrong. He chooses not to kill people because it brings to much attention and Elena doesn't like it. Damon follows his own, very bendable moral code and the things he can easily justify to himself would take most people tons of mental acrobatics.

He's also got a stubborn, sullen streak a mile wide. When confronted by his brother about doing something kind and decent and being told that his brother believes he has good in his soul, Damon lashes out by killing the first person he comes across, in front of Stefan to prove just how much of a badass he is. Damon also isn't always the best at relating to people and their feelings. It's been a long time since he last let himself feel things so intensely and he's very, very out of practice.

Well, I don't have anything specific in mind right now, but of course the Salvatore bros need to thread, whether it's a thread where Damon's taunting Stefan or they're teaming up against a common enemy. Like I said, I don't really have anything specific in mind yet but I look forward to threading with ya.

So many possibilities... Well, we could always just start one and follow the rabbit hole to wherever we end up. Characters tend to develop minds of their own anyway so this should be fun. Where and who starts?

Oh so, so, so true! Especially with my mind. Hmm, well I always liked the plot of Stefan tryin' to gain control of his bloodlust, so maybe Damon decides to take matters into his own hands and get his brother on the human blood? If you want, I could start it.

I'm not exactly the best plotter so I'll just throw some random ideas at ya.

Damon && Reyna
Not quite sure where they would stand really if they met, acquaintances perhaps? She hasn't really told anyone what she is yet and would most likely flee at any signs of danger. Though they're might be a reason for her to stick around and try to make friends, since she's been trying to blend in. She's a bit socially awkward but she could attempt to befriend him, that's all I got basically. As I said I'm not the best at this.

Well these two probably wouldn't get along too well. Damon probably wouldn't trust him and Jesse would find the boy to be a nuisance. At the same time Jes wouldn't want harm to come to him. Frenemies?

Yeah, I can do frenemies. Damon trusts very few people and I can see him being basically a sarcastic asshole and trying to use him, which would be where the enemy thing comes in. Once he gets used to Jesse, I can see him starting to like him more than he had. Though he'll keep that part to himself. Damon would definitely like Jesse's ability with animals, he would have so much ammunition against Stefan. Anyone that can get one over on Stefan is alright in his book.
