Alaric has been sarcastic and bitter since the whole Isobel thing. It's his protective wall. Since learning the truth, however, he has definitely become warmer to everyone, namely Damon Salvatore.

He is still bitter and has a hatred for vampires, but most of the ones in Mystic Falls are on his good list. He drinks a lot, mostly with Damon, and likes to be helpful in their battles. He hates being left out of the loop on things, especially when Elena or Jeremy is in danger (which is basically all the time, right?)

Very few get to call themselves friends of Alaric, and his love life is basically always in ruins...so who's gonna make the cut..and who's gonna get cut?

Well, I would imagine that Stefan and Alaric's relationship would be more student/teacher and occasional allies, as a friendship would probably be viewed as a bit odd given the fact that Stefan's physically seventeen, but I think a thread between them would be nice.

I think Stefan and Alaric could be friends behind closed doors, and both of the brothers could use the association with Elena as a reason to be closer to him rather than just a teacher figure. Does that make sense?

I'm trying to decide if they'd be better friends or enemies. They both have vampire bff's, but unlike Damon, Isaiah is kinda being manipulated by Katherine, which means Dakota could go either way in that department. I kinda like the idea of maybe frienemies and see where things go from there. Thoughts?
