So, hi. I'm Kimmi. I'm a 22 year old Navy Wife.
I'm a writer, a photographer, and an activist. <3
My current project is a YA Drama Pilot that I've been developing for 3 years. It's insane, but it's my pet project and I'm a perfectionist.
My awesome husband just bought me a Canon Rebel T4i for my birthday so I've been playing and learning. I can't wait to get back to San Diego to start shooting.
I love my work with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and I'm always working on a new project or fundraiser. I start my internship with them in June and I can't wait!
I am absolutely obsessed with All Time Low and will shamelessly reference them in any conversation. They are flawless.
*NOTE: the title of this thread is a play on words reference to them.
The OC is the show that made me want to write. It was the first time I really felt like the characters were my friends, like I needed them to be ok. I cried with them, I laughed with them. I felt what they were feeling. Josh Schwartz is perfection. (I also married Benjamin McKenzies twin, I swear.)
I'm currently in school to become an English teacher for High School, just incase I can't land a writing job at a Network. This will give me something to do until Ethan gets out of the Navy in about 15 years.
I have a history with self-harm and I'm proud as hell that I'm over 5 years clean. I also suffer from depression and PTSD. I'm living with it. I do better every day. Writing has been my therapy for years.
I will never text you first because I feel like I bother everyone.
I don't even talk to my best friends unless I have a direct question. It's just how I am.
My weakness is chocolate covered strawberries.
I'm adopted, and plan on adopting within the next 5 years. I can't wait.
