Seriously, she's a major nerd. Not only can she recite the entire periodic table by number and mass, but she can still name all 150 original Pokemon. It's something she has passed on to her eight year old son, Daniel, as well as her love of the theatre. Now that she feels settled in, she'll most likely be a regular fixture with community theatre and helping out with the school's drama club. Being up on stage is the only time she cares to be the center of attention. Amber is a planner, always organized to know what her next step will be; lists are her best friend, even pro-cons when it comes to making major decisions. She tends to have an opinion about everything and can be rather outspoken if need be, something she thinks reflects her upbringing. As the fifth of six children, she couldn't be easily pushed around. the friends To Amber, her friends become like family. She would do anything for them, even dropping everything to come running if they need her. Call her at 3AM when you need a ride home from the bar or to be bailed out of jail and she'll be there. If someone is sick, she'll stop by to check on them with homemade chicken soup or she'll welcome a new neighbor with a tiramisu from her family's age old recipe. She prefers a night in just as much as a night out, so long as she can find a babysitter she can trust. And she doesn't trust just anyone with Danny. Basically, Amber is a friendly little thing and is generally nice to everyone unless they give her a reason not to.

the lovers Her ex-husband is Nicholas Kirkland and, even after all these years since their divorce, she still loves him. It's been difficult to move on, especially since she feels guilty that he doesn't know about their son's existence. She is still trying, though; Amber has dated here and there, even if she can't remember what it feels like to have a 'serious' relationship.

the enemies Like I said, Amber is generally a friendly person, unless pushed to the edge. She doesn't know when to stop when it comes to provoking people, thanks to constantly trying to piss off her brothers as a kid. Basically, it's to get a reaction. When it comes to someone she doesn't like, she won't be seeking them out, nor will she go to any great lengths to avoid them.

He comes across as quite arrogant at times and shows little remorse. He is also very seductive and is willing to do what it takes to get what he wants and he has a certain dark charm about him. He also has a personality that causes people to have strong feelings about him (both positive and negative). He has a tendency to be very mysterious until you've earned his trust. Depending on the situation, he can be sensitive or bestial, intelligent or uncouth. What you see is not always what you get with this guy.

Since she was related to a founding family through the Kirkland's grandmother, I can imagine Ian taking notice and wanting to figure out her motives for being in town. He's likely too dark a character to form any lasting friendship with, but the banter would be interesting.

Despite his money, he is a rather nice guy, but sometimes forgets that not all people are rich. He's very educated, but from his appearance you would never guess it. He's an easy going, trusting guy. Some say too trusting, though he makes friends easily. But don't let his gentle smile fool you.

He is a good problem solver. He likes to think and puzzle things out, finding solutions. Coupled with his great listening skills, people confide far too much in him, and he enjoys the challenge of finding a solution. He is quite clever and sees right through people when they try to pull the wool over his eyes. He does not spook easily, so he often dives into situations without thinking the consequences through. Not a lot of people are sure what to make of him.

I could see a friendship of sorts here, albeit a strange one. He's probably nerdier than she is. His knowledge of the town and its goings-on could prove useful at some point.

I think him trying to figure out what her real motives for being in town would be, considering she and Nick were married so long ago that I doubt she ever remembers that he had any connection to the town... let alone remember who his grandmother is/was. I love Ian as a character, but yeah, I agree that I don't see really anything lasting between them at this point. But, if we thread them and it seems like there could be a friendship (albeit it'd be a weird one), I'm not opposed to it.

The gif on his app cracks me up because it makes me think of Paul Reubens in the original Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie. Okay, moving on... Amber would be fascinated by him, like a monkey-house-at-the-zoo type fascination. I think part of that could be because he's a psychic and she's completely in the dark about all of that stuff. I don't know why, but I think it would interesting to have him being her first contact with the supernatural world- especially since she won't know what the hell is going on.
