RINGGGG The sound of the school bell signified the end of a long day at school. Tyler gathered his books and walked out of class into the hall way that flooded with students. Friday night, it seemed like a good night to get out and actually have some fun, after practice and all. Tyler made a pit stop at his locker having his normal array of fan girls asking him what his plans were for the night. He simply replied he didn't know. Deep down he knew why he didn't have plans, it was due to the fact all his friends were now sick of his moody ways. It hurt but he couldn't let that damage his ego. Tyler tossed his bag over his shoulder and made his way to the locker room. He quickly got dressed in his practice uniform and made his way to the field. No, he didn't feel like dealing with his coach's bitching but he figured it was bound to happen anyways. A sigh escaped his full lips as he started to run around the track doing a couple warm up laps. Tyler saw the cheerleaders and in their pyramid formation. The way the would be hoisted into the air and flung around seemed to be a little complex. Tyler himself wouldn't enjoy it, but them girls sure looked good doing so.
After running a bit, he brought it in listening to the coach. The team ran a few plays, but he was particularly distracted by one girl. He wasn't really in the mood to go work his charm, he'd establish a game plan later but for now he'd keep his head in the game. Tyler tossed the ball completing a good hour of plays and grabbed his Gatorade bottle sipping it. After practice he B-lined it to the showers washing up. The warm water streamed down his muscular build and before long he was finished. Drinking always made things easier, maybe he'd head home and have some scotch, but if he wasn't mistaken he already had some in his back pack. Stumbling around town, in his lonesome, what a life. Tyler waited til he heard silence, he wasn't in the mood to conversant with his team mates, and when he didn't hear voices he got out wrapping his towel around his waist. Tyler walked over to his locker and opened it, pulling out his clean clothes. He put on his boxers and stood there looking at the pictures hanging in his locker. As if he needed a reminder, to the sting of rejection.
The bottle of scotch caused a sparkle in his eye and he looked around taking it out for a drink. If he couldn't deal with his over all emotions why not drink em away? Then foot steps caught his attention, and he looked to see a pale boy. Tyler was pretty sure this was the new kid that had joined the team. "You call that playing football, kid?" Tyler asked sarcastically. "This is high school after all, I don't see how coach put you on the varsity team, you're pretty scrawny." Tyler admitted snickering to himself. Normally he was pissed off, but at the moment he was pretty calm, he didn't feel like being a total jerk, but he had to give the kid a hard time. It was only in his nature to do so. "What's your name anyways?" Ty asked sipping from the bottle, scrunching his nose at the burn. It was only right to learn who was on his team after all.

Lucas was beating himself up, he was a perfectionist. As much as he hated to admit that, he needed to be perfect at what he does. He may seem like he doesn't care about much but he did. He just doesn't like to show it and joining this team was really a chance for him to maybe just move on. To really start his life here, to have something. And yet life was screwing him over again, he couldn't even focus. The guy's minds were too much. He had to get this thing under control or he was gonna go crazy. He knew his first day had to impress and he totally fucked it up.
He shook his head at himself, moving down the hallway. The lights flickering above him as he moved under them thanks to his mood. He couldn't control it, he finally looked up at the ceiling lights and growled out, "Stop it." The two words were enough and moments after the lights slowly calmed, he looked a little shock that it actually worked and one guy, a real jerk walked past giving an unfaltering comment about his first day.
He gritted his teeth and turned his head to the guy. His eyes taking on a much deader look, head lowering just slightly as something seem to just flip. The guy stopped coughing a little as his nose started to bleed. He turned looking at Lucas who stared at him, picking his head up slightly. His eyes taking on a much creepy look as the more blood started to come and this time the guy off. He started to back up, "what the hell?" He cried out as he rushed down the hallway before anymore damage could be done.
Lucas stood there staring for a moment the sound of the door slamming shut waking up as he jumped out of it. Blinking a few times seeing the small dripples of blood on the floor. He backed away slowly staring at it slightly and turned quickly moving to the locker room. Walking inside thinking he was the only one, he stopped seeing Tyler and he rolled his eyes at him. Felt that flare of anger yet he grabbed ahold of it trying to control it.
"Well sorry your ass was just too distracting for me." He said with a sarcastic look as he moved to his locker. He couldn't help but notice the guy's body and god. He was hot, more then hot. He glanced at him and he thought about just ignoring him a moment. But the man's mind was almost screaming for something, someone. He looked at him a moment longer now and he never felt such lonliness well he did everyday. He was sad, his mind was like this one big hole of depression.
He could feel it affecting him and he looked away. He looked uncomfortable a moment before glancing back at him. "Lucas. You Tyler right? Let me guess you'e the best thing to grace this team?" He asked as he chuckled a little and eyed the bottle as he pulled off his jersey tossing it into his bag. He moved and grabbed the bottle from him and taking a drink from it thrusting it back. "Oh don't look so shock. I'm not afraid of the big bad wolf. Unlike most around here, Lockwood." He smirked and winked a litlte before moving back to his locker starting to get out of his pants just in his jock now.
"So since I'm so horrible, which I was off my game by the way cause the incredibleness of your ass. Think you can teach me better oh wise one." He asked as he started to the shower, and starting to quickly shower. "So what you do for fun around here? Other then get drunk which I'm down for. Being the new guy was kinda lonely."

Tyler always saw it fit to pick on the new kids, it showed them their place in school. If he wasn't for his new found anger, and his drive to be in control he may have not been this way. Hell, if things were different and he didn't try to pick on that new kid Stefan, he'd still have Matt as a friend. It was horribly lonely, which is why he was meeting up with Uncle Mason this weekend to go camping. The out doors, and nature gave him an oddly at home feeling. As the boy spoke Tyler blinked a couple times. Really? Did he just say that? Tyler asked himself mentally. "So you suck at ball ,and your a homo as well? Batting hundreds, but I guess that does explain why you joined." Tyler commented. It wouldn't be the first time in history a male tried to hit on him. It was probably not going to be the last. Tyler wasn't homophobic or anything, he was in a bit of shock. This was overall where his word choice came from, not that he'd change his mind.
Tyler rummaged around in his locker grabbed his deodorant and he continued to meet his hygiene needs. Tyler put some gel on his fingers and ran it through his black hair, looking over at the boy. A smirk crossed his lips, even though he boy was being sarcastic he couldn't resist a comment. "Of course I am, I've played ball my whole life, this team would be nothing without me." Tyler stated, sticking his nose up. He had great pride when it came to all he did, all he accomplished during his years. When the boy moved closer he was a little shocked he had snatched the bottle. A bold move on his part, was the boy crazy? Tyler took the bottle and looked at the boy his dark eyes narrowed. "I never wanted anyone to be afraid of me." Tyler stated wiping the top of his bottle. Tyler had gotten into a lot of fights recently, but he only finished them. There were only certain times he couldn't control himself, and that's when someone was taking something that was rightfully his. Naturally he was possessive, but it was just one of those traits who defined him.
Tyler focused on himself while the boy stripped and sprayed himself down with cologne listening to the next play on words. Tyler sucked his teeth, he wasn't giving up was he? "I mean I could, but there's nothing in it for me, teaching you would be a waste of my precious time." He was spoiled, and he didn't think much of helping others. Maybe that was his problem now a days, not concerned enough with other's around him. It was just so hard when no one could understand the rage and anger he felt. The very emotions that consumed the nice person he used to be. "If you really want to, Monday morning, around five am, before school starts I'll help you." Tyler offered softly. The kindness stung him a bit, but it wouldn't hurt anybody to be a good co-captain. Fun, a word he hadn't experienced in a couple months. "Bon fires, house parties, go to the falls and get wasted, shoot some pool at a bar, go out to dinner. Normally I just lounge at the mansion in the hot tub." Tyler rambled, shrugging listening to the water running. "You wouldn't want to, do anything like that tonight, would you?" Tyler asked, he wasn't sure where this kindness was coming from, but the overall loneliness was killing him, and if he could hang out and feel free from rejection, for a moment why not?

Lucas had always thought the whole jock bullying thing was just for television and well he only been here a few days and that was wrong. There was a social ladder it seemed and well being the new guy he was at the pure bottom of it. And he felt like he was going crazy cause every thought was bombarding him in this place. He never seen people with such trivial lives. King and Queens, pageants and crap. It all sounded so very boring and it all was stuck inside of his head.
If he doesn't learn control he will just have to pull a Carrie and move on. The thought was very tempting indeed. The sixteen year old took in the bronze skinned God that was before him. Realy he is one of the hottest guys he have seen here, even hotter then the teacher. Maybe because he had this whole vibe going. He was quite attracted to the bad boys, he doesn't know why. There was just something so...drawing about them.
He rubbed a hand over his short hair, rubbing a hand through his hair trying to reign in the guy's thoughts that seem to just want to consume his own mind it seemed. Tyler was a broadcaster, yet of course he doesn't know what that meant. He was so new to all this and Tyler's loneliness made him feel for him and he tried to not feel for anyone these days. When he got emotionally connected with people, things tend to go wrong. Yet he couldn't help but let this guy in more willingly, getting an image of a forest, the wilderness and a very hot older guy with incredible eyes.
The name Mason seem to float within his mind and there was a sense of familiarity, family. A brother or uncle...looked to young to be a father maybe. He blinked a few times seem to be lost a moment as he tried to just deal and decipher through all that was floating in his mind. He was glad they were alone. He smirked hearing his thought, not yet skilled enough to decipher thoughts from actual speaking.
"I highly doubt that you aren't aware that you're one of the hottest guys here. Not to mention ripped like hell." He said working to flatter him now as he smirked a coy smile as he took out a few of his own hygiene products that he pretty much stole placing them on the bench and looking at Tyler a little pointedly at the homo part before he rolled his eyes upwards. "I don't suck unless you ask nicely." He gave a cheeky smirk at him before shrugging slightly. "I never played until today so sue me. And with intent to step on toes here you can't be all that great since this team haven't won in awhile right?" He asked in a mock teasingly way.
He stopped a little what he was doing, the guy was an asshole. He had enough sense to know that you don't call well a gay guy a homo or he doesn't think so anyway. The outside world had too many rules, he just doesn't care. Yet he got the feeling that Tyler doesn't care if he was gay or not. He wasn't a homophobic. This power could come in so handy. The hardest part about being out there on that field was battling his own thoughts and the plans that the guys were trying to remember. He knew their moves before they made it but there was just too many.
He couldn't focus. Yet he could just be naturally bad, not like he had experience. "Oh it seems like nothing with you too. So kinda a lose lose. Yet the new coach seem to know what he's doing so the whole losing thing could be the old coach's fault and not yours cause you're just so very cool like that." He said not being kinda of an ass as he smirked with fake innocence and waggled his brows at him. He cocked his head and smirked in a manipulative way. "Really? You pick a fight with your best friend and then makes out with his mother of all people. You may not want them to be afraid but you are you going for loser of the year?" He realized that he smelled very good realizing that he was still closer to him.
He snapped out of it moving away a little back to his locker. He looked at him a little softly a moment at his thoughts. He frowned slightly as he felt like he understood what he was going through a little. Having these impulses that you couldn't control. He felt bad immediately and quickly kicked himself. "Not that you're a loser. People are so uptight. Friends meant to stick by your side through it all right. Everyone isn't the same and the moment they find something they don't like. They bolt...kinda is human nature. Yet who needs them. If they can't handle it then they aren't your friends." He felt a little protective of the guy now, his friends ditched him because of something he couldn't help.
He had a temper and did stupid things sometimes. Yet just abandoning him, was that any way to help? Lucas didn't have anyone, he knew how that felt. He hadn't known there was someone else out there like that. That had this whole side of them they couldn't control. Tyler seemed to be like that. He felt for him. His laugh could be heard from the showers as he finished and grabbed a towel. Drying at himself and then moving to his hair as he moved from the showers with no shame. He had nothing to hide and well it was almost nice to rebel and do whatever he wanted.
Having been locked in and controlled for so long by his parents. He doesn't live by much of any rules anymore or law. He was his own person, pulling the towel from his hair and tossing it on the bench as he took up his pair of boxers turning his back to Tyler. There was something almost unnaturally seductive and sexy about the kid. "You have nothing but precious time as it's a friday night and what you're here with the new kid." He said challengingly as he stretched a little and turned looking at Tyler. "Plus you gonna live a fellow player in need?" His words teasing and a little flirty as he smirked at him with a even more flirtier look. He grabbed his own deodorant now and started to apply it. He was a little surprised at his words yet not so at the same time. He looked at him a little strangely a moment, Tyler's softness taking him by surprise. He blinked a few times at him curiously and slowly smiled. "Does this mean I get to catch your worm?" He did a little sexy shoulder nudge as he laughed a little sitting down as he shuffled through his bag for his clothing pulling out his jeans and looking at him.
Wow he was rich? He had gotten that impression from some of his stray thoughts but that confirmed it. Did he want to go back to his place and chance getting closer to this guy. Could he afford friends? He doesn't want to hurt anyone else. He had two people's blood on his hands. His former best friend and his father's. Tyler...there was something about him that just tugged at his heart. Something about him that made Lucas feel as if he wasn't as alone as he thought. That Tyler could be just as lost and hurt, broken as he was and without no one.
His greatest fear was being abandoned and here he was alone and without no one. His best friend abandoned him because of the thing with his mother. He doesn't want to hurt anyone that was close to him. There was so much about Tyler that seemed to reflect himself and he couldn't help but smile at him. "Sure. I got nothing else to do and I never been in a hot tub or a mansion before but there was this one guy that had a fetish for butlers and he had me dress up as a but-and I'm totally freaking you out." He said with a laugh and slight careless shrug.
He jumped up as he pulled his jeans up over his ass and started to fasten it around his waist as he watched Tyler. "So it's a date and will there be lots of alcohol?" He teased him with a suggestive wink as he grabbed his button down shirt and started to slip it on.

Tyler hadn't actually noted he was being too harsh on the kid, with a sarcastic attitude, like that he was sure the kid could handle it. Tyler had become a bully, it had seemed like all he had left when dealing with his inner rage. There was no one who stuck around to listen to his reasoning, and it made him insecure. What friends left you, in a time when you needed them most? All those years of inviting them over to his pool in the summer, and leading an ear when something was wrong, and now he was left alone when he needed them? So be it, he had never had anyone and he didn't need them. Tyler left himself grow uncomfortable with anger at his whole thoughts.
Tyler had dreams, his father ripped them away from him as if he couldn't accomplish anything but being the son of the mayor. Those harsh words, and expectations along would send him into a fit. Tyler would never amount to anything with all this inner anger, he couldn't even think let, alone be put on some pedestal. If it were only that simple that he could put it to words and make someone listen, he thought that was what Vicki was for. In the end he wondered if she only hung out with him for his reputation. Everyone liked a bad boy, if he wasn't mistaken. Tyler put her through a lot, that could have been enough reason for her absence in his life. It didn't matter, if she wasn't there by his side, she was already dead to him as well. Tyler was cutting out unnecessary stress in his life, he even picked up drawing again. The control he had when painting, was the control he needed over all in his life.
Tyler took another sip out of his bottle, if he were driving he'd better avoid consuming too much. It seemed he could confide in a bottle of alcohol better then most involved in his life. Perhaps his weekend with uncle Mason was that positive escape he needed. Two guys some beers, and fishing poles. Sounded highly acquired right about now. Tyler pulled out a pair of black sweat pants and sat down on the bench putting them on. He stood up, pulling his pants up, as Lucas joined him back in the locker room. As the boy's words flattered his ego he quirked an eyebrow. Tyler had been known for being that good looking, rich kid. "I'm well aware of it." Tyler stated bluntly. Why hide the fact he was vain.
Tyler fought back the urge to laugh when Lucas said he only sucked if he asked nicely and he rolled his eyes. "You don't give up do you?" Tyler asked, he wasn't too effected by the boy's words because he was comfortable with his own sexuality. It wasn't a bad thing the boy was as clear as day with his preference to men. Men like Tyler, he frowned at the thought feeling a little protective. Not all guys were as understanding as Tyler, and it could get the boy in trouble being that open with his mouth. Tyler would have to keep an eye on him, make sure he didn't bite off more then he could chew. When he stated he had only began today Tyler looked at him wide eyed. "No really?" I couldn't have guessed." He said tossing in his own hint of sarcasm to the mix. At the rest of the statement he shrugged it off. "There is more then just me on the team, with everyone being so pissed at me, they don't want to pass me the ball. It's their own form of suicide in the sporting world." Tyler replied, he'd never detach from his ability to think highly of himself.
Tyler hadn't really liked the new coach. He over all didn't like how he ran plays, nor how he spoke to him in front of people. Trying to dull down Tyler's shine, like he was some jealous male that couldn't get the girl. When Lucas spoke of Matt he licked his lips and took another sip of alcohol. Matt had been asking for that fight, he just had a stick up his ass since Elena was dating that new kid. Tyler was just trying to help, and all Matt could say was he was a kid bully. Loser of the year sounded fitting when he said it like that, Tyler couldn't deny it. "I guess it seems that way, but if you knew how lonely I was you'd understand, they'd all understand." Tyler muttered softly as he grabbed his muscle shirt pulling it over his buff physique. When the boy spoke of his friends not being real ones it trigger his over all thoughts earlier. They never even stayed around to let him explain, which was wrong and if they were not there he didn't need them. "I actually agree with you, but it has it's perks and down-falls."
After his sudden change of heart, and he became kinder to the kid, he decided that it was best to not be so rude. The kid was new, it was hard being the new guy, not that he would know personally, but he had watched a lot of teen shows in his day. Lucas didn't need Ty on his case as well, and if he made someone to talk to out of the whole mix, would it really be a bad thing? "No, I can't leave a fellow player in need." The over all point of a team was to help each other toward a common goal. Fun and victory. Catch his..? Tyler couldn't help to laugh. "I don't think you could handle it." Tyler boasted adding to the Lucas' thoughts. He wasn't trying to mess with his head or anything, but if you couldn't beat em, why not join em? It may give the kid some confidence.
Lucas had a careless nature to him, Tyler found himself intrigued by how open he was. The boy didn't really seem to care what people thought of him, and could accept responsibility for his actions. When he confirmed he had never been to a hot tub or a mansion Tyler quirked an eyebrow. He often forgot everyone was accustom to his life style. "Got cha." Tyler said standing up as he packed up his things. He made sure he had his school bag, before locked his locker. A date? "Don't let it get to your head. Of course there is alcohol, of the best brands if I may add." Ty stated waiting for Lucas to finish up in the locker room. "I'm driving, unless you have a car then you can follow." Tyler stated not most people his age had cars, he didn't know the boy enough to assume as he stated to make his way to the parking lot.

Until now Lucas hadn't known what it felt like to be abandoned by those that you cared for. Your own friends, the very people that was suppose to be there no matter what. He had always desired friends. People that he could rely on, people that he could be himself with. Television had it wrong and right on so many levels if this was how friends treated their other friends. The whole saying with keeping your enemies close and your friends closer, he got that now. If your friends could betray you so...who could you trust? He abandoned his mother and now he felt bad.
Though he had done it for her own safety, he couldn't hurt her. He couldn't live with himself if he allowed himself to hurt the one person that truly cared for him. He hated listening in on Tyler's thoughts, his most private moments yet he also kinda envied it. He envied what Tyler had and he envied the pain that he was going through now. The very human emotion of wondering if it was his own fault, the anger of being abandoned. He wished that he could just for a moment know what it felt like to be human and have human relationships.
He could understand the anger, like it was his own. He could see why he would feel so betrayed and as if he doesn't need them. Hell, he doesn't need them. Not if they just turned their backs on Tyler. He frowned when thoughts of a male, a father. So the other hadn't been his father washed over Lucas. A feeling of never being good enough, a wash of self worthless. He looked at Tyler at this and he couldn't believe that a father would treat their son so bad. His own hadn't been father of the year. He had been religious and not the good kind. Everything had to be his way, he was the man of the house and everything had to just be done by him.
He was a real asshole and believed that he couldn't do any wrong. Believed that Lucas would never rise to anything, saw him as some freak. Thinking of him made his own anger surface and caused the lights to flicker a moment. He had killed the man cause he was hurting his mother, he hadn't meant to. It was like this other force had just took over him. He couldn't stop it and he doesn't regret it. His mother was safe now, or so he hoped that she was. So many peple has abandoned Tyler and he truly felt sorry for him. It made him feel weak and helpless.
He made it his purpose now to make Tyler's life better. "Well I'm not scared off so easily by assholes. Just be prepared to take it back at you." He said with a chuckle as he shrugged a little thinking it was weird for him to just come out and say it. He doesn't know if Tyler would be as comfortable if he knew he was inside of his head. Invading his privacy, no he wouldn't enjoy that. He felt bad. Why did this guy make him feel? What was it about him? Maybe it was because he felt connected to him. He has been avoiding people ever since he started experiencing this newfound insight into people. Tyler has really been the only one that he has allowed himself to connect with.
He looked quite interested when he caught an image of an sketchpad and Tyler drawing. A sense of comfort and home filling him. He looked at him and spoke before he could really stop him. "You draw?" He asked quickly and then verbally cursed and looked innocent quickly trying to cover it up. "You just look like the tortured soul type to draw." He teased with a very convincing enthralling smile and usually mind manipulation doesn't work on werewolves or witches yet there was power behind this smile. As if it was just greater, darker and more seductively powerful then the usual typical compulsion. He couldn't help but watch Tyler dressed with slightly darkening blue eyes as he couldn't help but smirk to himself. "You're too hot to be all by your lonesome. What girls don't put out here?"
He gave a seductive smile and offered a innocent shrug of his shoulder as he gave an adorable twisted lopsided smile as he spoke. "Not until you're begging for more." He teased with a cute bite of his lip and mischevious twinkle in his blue eyes as he finished buttoning up his shirt sitting down now to pull his socks on as he grabbed his shoes. He looked at him a little surprised with a almost caring smile forming on his lips and he stared at him a little with admiration. "I can take care of myself. Have for two years now." He had to admit he never had someone that was actually concern enough for him like that. Yet he guessed that he was attracted to the wrong guys...he don't know. He just loved those type of guys, they were never boring and he hated boring guys.
Plus he hasn't met a bad boy that wasn't hot. Some large part of him enjoyed the danger of it. He hadn't even realized that Tyler hadn't really spoke or voiced his thoughts. He frowned at that and a look of anger quickly over took his features. "Names and addresses and I can make them disappear. And who the fuck need them. Train me and I got your back front and unmentionables." He half teased as he stood up finally packing up his things. "If you ask me they are the bad ones. You're sorry right. And they won't even give you a chance to be sorry. So fuck them. He said with a content nod to this. He met Tyler's dark eyes with his blue and he shook his head.
He looked soft a moment and sincere. "I get it. You lose control and no one seems to care that you can't help this anger from getting the better of you. It's like a whole other force and it just snaps before you even realize it. You don't want to do the things you do but it's not in your control to stop. You're scared of hurting someone and that eventually everyone would turn their backs on you. Even your mom. And I won't let that happen. We can help each other...if you want. I get these blind moments too where I just get red hot. I understand it, Ty." He said calling him by his nickname for the first time and finally moved his eyes away after an uncomfortable beat of a moment. He gave a small laugh. "You're turning me into a softie and I'm not a softie"
He pouted in a cute manner as he offered a weak stern look. "You just had to ruin the moment and put your shirt on. Not that that...thing isn't skin tight. What is that and can you breath?" He asked with a laugh as he frowned a moment and shrugged. "Life all about perks and down-falls. And who knows they could come around and if they don't well yeah their lost cause dude you have a future in football if you play like you practice. Old friends don't come back then make new ones." He gave an overly confident smile and gave him a serious smirk. "Oh you have no idea what I can handle. He said as he pulled his his duffle bag onto his shoulder.
He gave a laugh and moved to follow him with a small embarrassed look for once. "Nope no car. Just a crappy motel room." He said as he couldn't help but watch Tyler's ass as he moved behind him before catching up with him. "And it is going to my head. I'm on a date with fricking Tyler Lockwood. Wait till I tell the cheer squad about this. Prone to up my status." He teased with a fake excited squeal and clamped his hands together before laughing. "You drink a lot too huh? Alcohol does make the world go round."

There he was trying to make a friend, someone new that didn't know him for being the selfish prick everyone thought him to be. Tyler sort of felt bad, the boy had been new, and that wasn't reason for him to just toss his problems at him. Tyler didn't like sharing more information about himself then he needed to. Actually he wasn't open for very good reasons. Disgracing his family, losing his friends. Overall he was a mess of blurred emotions, but that didn't mean Lucas had to see that. Tyler hated feeling venerable, he didn't seek any sort of sympathy. His actions were his doing, and he could own up to them. It was hard, but he wasn't sure it was fair to drag Lucas into his messed up life. Things would get worst before they got better, and even with someone who was on the same level as him, was he ready to endure all of the downfalls of being friends with Tyler Lockwood?
Tyler frowned at his thoughts. Deep down he was built up of insecurities held together by this cocky jock persona that hid everything about his inner feelings. Perhaps this was a good thing. Growing up in a home, where your parents didn't truly love one another, a physically abusive father, and the town's expectations wasn't easy. It was very complex living under standards where he just wanted to run away. As a young child he was constantly running away to spend time at Matt's or even with Elena. Yet if he thought too much on the topic of past friends he'd upset himself again. When Lucas confirmed he was not afraid of assholes, and he warned Ty he'd dish it back, it caused him to smile slightly. "If you say so." Tyler replied simply. He was a major asshole at times, moody as they came but this wasn't always the case.
There was once a sensitive side to Tyler, one that was creative and passionate. Not to say that guy was still not inside of him, but it had been a while. Lucas asked did he draw and Tyler's eyebrow shot up. It was odd how he was just thinking on that topic, and then it was pulled from his mind. When Lucas added reasoning behind his question, Tyler felt more at ease. "You can't tell anyone this, but yeah I do. I always feel in control when I'm sketching, or painting. It's like my own little world, and I can create the beauty or tragedy of the picture." Tyler admitted, giving reasoning to his talent. When he was younger, art was the only thing that kept him from being broken. It was like he could rewrite all the beatings his father gave him, and could cover it all up with a silhouette of happiness.
On the topic of girls Tyler chuckled and shrugged. "Well I had a girlfriend not to long ago, but I haven't really been looking for someone to put out." Tyler stated bluntly. Since Vicki passed on, and he kissed her mother, things hadn't been the same. It was sort of like a piece of him was missing, a piece he couldn't explain with words. Vicki and Tyler understood one another, they didn't need to be couple of the year, as long as they had happiness. Tyler was always selfish, and treated her pretty bad, but it never occurred to him until she was gone, how much he did take her for granted. It would be nice to feel that with someone again, but with everyone hating him, he doubted the chance.
There was something about Lucas' flirting that didn't bother him so much. It was harmless in actuality and it was funny to watch him try. Someone that actually tried for his affection, or charm or whatever the boy wanted from his actions. Begging for more? Tyler shook his head "I don't do well with begging. I'm more of the type to just have what I want, when I want it. How much or how little." Tyler came back with a wink. Of course he just meant this reflecting his spoiled nature, but the boy could take it how he pleased. When Lucas admitted he could take care of himself Tyler quirked an eyebrow. Two years was a long time, and something inside him made him speak. "Well you have me now, so you don't have to be alone. Unless you choose to be." Who was Tyler to force himself into the boy's life. Independence was a great quality to have, he just knew how much it sucked to be lonely. So he figured he genuinely offer, and knew he'd be stubborn and persistent if Lucas declined.
When Lucas reassured Tyler he had his back, in exchange for training Tyler wanted to decline. It sounded like a bad way to treat a friend, trading such things. Tyler couldn't help to feel wrong about it. "I'll train you, because I want to, you don't have to do anything. Just don't leave." Tyler said looking down as he finished getting himself ready. At this point he didn't think he could handle another person walking out on him. As strong as he was, frayed at the end he'd break. He listened to Lucas speak of friends and how they were wrong for treating him this way. Tyler couldn't agree more with the kid. It was as if he had been in the same situation. There was an appeal to two people that had been through similar situations, perhaps it was best to stick together.
"No, they don't let me explain why I'm sorry. I'm not sorry for something I can't control, I want them to relate and understand, not feel sympathy." Tyler explained after putting his shirt on. He took in the rest of Lucas' words, and smiled a bit at the offer and when he spoke his familiar nickname. It had been a while since someone called him Ty in a good sense. Tyler wasn't sure if Lucas fully understood, but he seemed to ramble off enough that indicated he understood. "If that is what needs to be done, then so be it. I just hope the world doesn't have to endure a day where we are both pissed off." Tyler said sarcastically. Two angry people couldn't help one another, they could related. Tyler wasn't the type to talk things out, but maybe he could learn to listen, and with that they could find a way to help one another. Like an anger management class, only with two people.
Tyler snickered at Lucas' comment about ruining the moment. At his question he wasn't sure if the boy was being serious or not. "Was that a rhetorical question, or are you slightly daft?" Tyler asked, he was serious even if he came off as an asshole. "Where the heck are you from that you don't know what a muscle shirt is?" He asked unsure if the kid was being some kind of smart ass. "Must be from Montana or something." Tyler muttered, only mountain towns wouldn't be hip with fashion Tyler thought. It was nice to see someone had confident in his ability to play foot ball, his whole life he had played hoping to get signed by some NFL team, and then he;d be able to leave this town. A challenging smirk crossed the lips of Tyler Lockwood, and he sucked his teeth. So Lucas thought he could handle Tyler, as much as he was a competitor he wasn't sure he was going to accept that challenge. Tyler wouldn't know where to begin, and he was pretty confident in his attraction to women. He pushed away his thoughts and didn't comment on being handled by the boy.
Tyler grabbed his bag, and listened to the boy speak of a motel room. "Well you don't need to go to that shit hole tonight, you can stay with me. My dads on business, and my moms hardly home." Tyler offered, he wasn't sure of Luke would accept but the offer still stood. "Not that you're sneaking in my bed to have a cuddling session, or anything along those lines." Tyler said in hopes he didn't crush the kid's dreams. Tyler shook his head at Lucas' words. "Those stuck up bitches would tell you, what a privilege it is to be on a date with me." Tyler replied walking to his SUV. He unlocked the door and tossed his bag in the back seat. He reached for Lucas' bag and tossed it in as well. "I drink because I can't feel when I do. Also, I like to have fun and try to piece together my evening the following morning." Tyler added getting into the drives seat. He waited for Lucas to get in the car, and when the boy did he started to drive. "Number one rule of the road, don't touch my radio." Tyler said looking over at the boy. He put on some music, while they took the ride to his house.
Upon entering his drive way he looked at the Lockwood mansion and then to Lucas. "Not much, but I call it home." Tyler said sarcastically. He parked in the garage, and saw no one was home. That wasn't a bad thing, he didn't feel like explaining to his mother, why he was making new friends. Being perfect in her eyes, meant the world to him, and explaining he was a dick to all his friends, didn't seem like it would weigh a good impression. Tyler turned off the car and got out, stretching. He then walked to the door and unlocked it. "You going to sit there in shock all day, or are you coming to have some fancy scotch?" Ty asked kicking off his shoes before entering.

Tyler was starting to give him a headache, he was so so confused. So hurt so much of everything. He was like a walking hot fleshy thing of complex hotness. He has never felt more drawn or attracted to anyone before. He had the whole bad boy think going for him but he was so much more. So much more then what anyone saw of him. He had so many secrets and hidden emotions. All he wanted was his friends, all he wanted was to be accepted and just be himself. And Lucas could react to that even though he felt like himself was better off stepping off a cliff.
Maybe the world would be better off without him. He couldn't help but think about that class and how he had affected it. It had to be him. And as much as he wanted to just move on and leave this town. There was just something about it that wouldn't let him move on. Anywhere else he would have been gone. Yet now he couldn't leave at all. Not after meeting Tyler, not after realizing that he isn't as much of a monster as he thought.
Tyler made him feel, different. Made him want to be better so that Tyler could like him. Like him. Oh fuck...he shook his head at himself a moment. The dude's straight, straight as an arrow. He kept telling himself that. He felt for him and all his insecurities. He felt a swell of anger at the idea of his father abusing him. He wanted to hurt him, to make him pay. He could feel that darkness in him swelling a little within his gut. Making him feel powerful, good. Free. He wanted it to wash over him so bad and just take away the emotions Tyler was surfacing within him.
He doesn't want to feel, he doesn't want to depend on anyone just to have to leave or worse hurt them. He was snapped from his inner well of thoughts and that beast that was slowly surfacing froze for a beat of a moment before all but nearly disappearing back int othat black hole he felt was always there that he feared to touch. He blinked a few times at Tyler seeming have lost the trail of conversation. "hu-OH...right. I do say so." He said with a cheeky confident grin. "And you wouldn't want ot make out with my mother unless you have a thing for plaid wearing Carrie dressing older women? He asked with a deep frown at that picturing it in his head and making a face.
He couldn't help smile at him and felt so much closer to him. God he wanted him. He wanted to let him into his world, he wanted someone. Something to help take away that darkness. To save him from himself, he had so much in common with him. Even his art, his own outlet had been his sketchbook. It was his only way to survive throughout his childhood. He had nothing else, no one else but his drawings of a future where he was happy and away. His most private and secretive of thoughts had been captured on people and it had helped a little.
He wasn't sure if he was ready to share that as much as he wanted too. "Mr. Lockwood. You are just full of surprises." He half teased but was watching him seriously with a slight twist of his lips and his look was unlike himself. He was falling for this guy and for once...he felt different. Felt good. Felt in control and strong. A different kind of enlightenment that that loveless and empty feeling of strength. He laughed a little at him and gave a cheeky look.
"Wow voluntarily with holding sex. That where I have to jump off the bandwagon and call you insane." He teased as he frowned a moment as he couldn't help but feel a little jealous over his apparent feelings for Vicki. That part of him wanted to rise up again, to make her go away. He wanted him all to himself, he couldn't have anyone else getting in the way. The thoughts had him pulling back slightly, looking down a little as a moment a brief of look of insecurity and discomfort passed over his features and finally confusion.
He couldn't be falling for this guy and if he did...could he even afford that? Could he control this thing inside of him enough to actually be safe? The thought of Vicki made him want to just hurt something and that wasn't good. He had to get control of it before it got control of him. And yet Tyler. Just thinking of him, it quieted the beast a little. Made it easier to control, to cage. He looked up at him finally not realizing he pulled back so much that he had crossed his arms and almost gone into himself.
He felt lighter. He hadn't felt as control in a long time. He looked al little baffled to himself slightly before focusing on Tyler knowing he could be looking like a total fruit case. "You need a girl to get off." He lightly teased as he couldn't help it. It was him after all. He felt more himself. More in control and more stable. Like he wasn't walking on egg shells by just existing. He gave a flirty and very suggestive smile. He gave an innocent smile and met his eyes giving Tyler the chance to notice that strange birthmark in his pupil that almost looked like three sixes overlooping together if he looked close enough.
"You clearly haven't been doing it right then or I'm just that good. He teased truthfully with another innocent shrug as if he was saying wasn't everyone. He chuckled a little and gave him a look. "You aren't the only one that getting what he wants. When he wants it." And it was true, if he wanted something bad enough he sometimes got it. If he wanted someone to do a certain thing bad enough they did. If he wanted something to happen it did. Usually bad things. It was a defense mechanism. If you hurt him then he was gonna hurt you.
He was scared of that. Scared of losing control and ending up just killing again. He looked a little surprise at him at his words and his blue gaze softened a moment. An actual blush rose to his cheeks and he gave a twisted half smile as he looked him over a moment. "You don't know what you're getting into." He said a little to softly as he met his eyes a quick moment before averting his gaze and sighing a moment. Yet some part of him that desperately wanted this sense of stabliity. This hope that Tyler gave him clung to it for life. He couldn't walk away if he wanted too if he did it wouldn't be as easy as it once was. "I don't want to hurt you and you're gonna end up getting hurt." He said before stopping himself and quickly closed his eyes frowning a little as he pulled back just enough.
He let out a breath forcing a smile, for a moment that pure honesty and genuine caring nature was gone. His worry being swallowed by that carefree and outgoing nature. "If I didn't know better I'd say you care." He teased as he nudged him a little. He stopped a moment and almost stared at his words and the real pain before them. He blinked a few times and he watched him a beat of a soft moment. He sighed softly and forced a smile. "Never. I won't leave. We established that." He said that softness and caring nature returning to his words as he watched him a long moment. He didn't want to be alone as much as Tyler didn't.
He shook himself a moment looking away and moving to follow him into the parking lot. He had fallen behind him a little, feeling so torn and so unlike himself. He doesn't know if he liked it or not, he knew that darkness didn't. It just wanted to be free and Tyler made him feel stronger. Some dark part of him whispering to just move on and forget him. Yet he doesn't listen, taking a breath and pushing himself forward to fall in step beside him. "I can do something in return." He said with a mischievious waggle of his brows as he looked younger and more...brighter then he had before.
Like that dark cloud that always seem to be lingering over him was dissipating around him. Tyler...he made him feel happy. Like he was safe. Made him feel like he was kid again before he started realizing something was seriously wrong with him. It was such a more welcoming carelessness to him. "Hey if you get pissed off I'll be there to help. If it's me then you can help me. We can help each other." He said voicing his thoughts with a caring smile a moment as he shrugged happily. "Deal Lockwood?" He looked embarrassed and shrugged as he blushed slightly. "I'm from Detroit but my rents were religious freaks. I didn't get out much and when I did..."
He stopped thinking of those times and how much more out of control he had been. How he had just rebelled and ultimately it all just turned into tragedy and fear. He could feel that cloud of darkness washing over him. Rising from his very soul to consume him and shrugged a little to himself. "It's nothing. Some lame shirt huh?" He asked changing the subject and getting a little offensive as he pushed away his memories of his past from two years ago and just focused on that power that made him feel strong and what he was used to his whole life.
He smirked to himself at Tyler's thoughts and glanced at him with a sarcastic smirk at his thoughts. He thought he couldn't handle him. He wanted to totally just show this guy just what he could do. That competitive and overly confident part of him wanting to make Tyler regret thinking he was better. That dark part of him that wanted to claim him as his and just move on to the next. He was an asshole, he shook his head at himself. Subconsciously pushing a little of his desire onto Tyler as he looked at him. "You think I'm lieing? Dude you wouldn't know what hit you." He teased with a flirty look as he waggled his brows and smirked confidently.
He looked surprised at him, his blue eyes widening. It snapped him out of that hard and cold desire. That dark pressure lifting slightly from his chest as he couldn't help but smile slowly at him laughing a moment before he saw he wasn't kidding. "Really...you would let a total stranger stay with you? He asked as he looked uncomfortable a little and finally nodded. "Okay...cool. Cause I so didn't want to blow the old balding guy just for another couple of weeks of a shitty place with cold showers. Not that cold showers would be bad for me." He said with a small laugh lifting his blue eyes to look at him a little cutely with a shrug.
"I highly doubt how true they would be. You're too hard on yourself. You aren't just a pretty face with abs to die for." He stopped realizing he had said that and rolled his eyes upwards to the sky a little. Holy crap, pull it together. You aren't this guy. He told himself as he shook his head at himself. He listened to him and he chuckled a little. He had started drinking to escape as well but after a while he learned that it helped to deal with the things he felt. His impulses. If he drunk enough then he could forget and not worry about hurting anyone.
He whistled as he got into the car looking around and looked toward Tyler. He smirked largely at him and shook his head. "Don't know much about music but whatever, dude. His eyes on the radio as he perked a brow slightly before shrugging and looking t Tyler. He kinda allowed the silence to overtake them as listened to the music and let Tyler drive before they rolled up to an estate that he had noticed earlier and he gawked a little.
"Only crap you didn't say you were the president's son." He teased as he took in the place and leaned forward in the windshield like a big kid with the hugest of grins. He looked at him giving him the finger teasingly before jumping out. He moved after him and liked the sound of that. "Bet I can drink you under the table." He challenged as he looked to the shoes and yet doesn't do the same as much as this new found kinda sense of self told him it'd be better if he did. Yet he wasnt' much for listening to the little angel on his shoulder.
