It was late and most of Mystic Falls was probably asleep or in each others pants. The crescent moon was shining overhead and he smiled. That was a good sign, it would be a while before the next full moon which meant he didn't have to worry about dog attacks. The beasts weren't the most formidable unless on a full moon, which almost always ended in a bite and death soon after. He didn't know if there were wolves here, but something was here and it wasn't human.
It was like looking at one of those sex offender maps in a town where they all gathered for a conference except without the red dots. You just knew they were there like it was a sixth sense. Most of them were probably vampires, they were the most numerous of the super world. Mostly because they were like supernatural cockroaches, he could easily spread himself like a flood across a city in a matter of days. It was a useful tool, but troublesome. Not only did so many risk exposing, but he couldn't control them after they turned. It took beating them into submission to make them obey most of the time, but in the end they didn't live very long. Only a few vampires had it in them to exist so long.
Vayne's footsteps resounded in the square as he slowly made his way around it. For a second he thought he heard another set of steps in the area, but he shrugged it off. Not like he had anything to worry about, he could take care of himself. But there it was again, the footsteps he had heard them more clearly this time as he stopped and turned seeing nothing, "I know you're there!" He said aloud crossing his arms over his chest waiting for the inevitable response.

[/color] Lucas said as he stepped from the shadows a little and into the light of the overhead lamp posts. He took in the other male who had been just walking around. Well he was minding his own business. Well he had been wondering what to do really? He was new in town, he doesn't know anywhere here. He had no where to go. He was well...homeless. He made it work though. Sometimes if he tried hard enough he could push someone to do what he wanted. He shrugged a little as he shook his head thinking he was crazy. Or just really charismatic. He doesn't know. He had been wondering around, this place was small as fuck. Finding a fairly nice little motel nine was easy in the city. He had very little money so he had to make that last. So hotel or food. He shook his head as he sighed to himself. He was lost in his own little private world, just enjoying the silence of this small town night here before the male's voice caught his attention. Creepy much? He blinked blue eyes at him and smirked at him. "Marco. Polo. Could have been much more entertaining." He said as he looked over the attractive guy. That small light pulse returning as he took in the man, it was different from most people. Usually here lately it felt like people were just banging at his brain trying to get inside but this man was almost lesser in some degree. He was interested now enough to not move on. "So wonder the nights alone all the time or just looking for a booty call." The teenager asked with a half smirk, a slight twist of his lips that was almost invisible if you weren't paying attention.[/ul]

The person he saw looked more like a child than anything else. A simpleton wouldn't see this is any kind of threat just some boy thinking he was bad, but anyone with half a mind knew better than to roll their eyes at this kind of encounter. The boy had confidence about him and it was genuine. Anyone trying to be bad had a sense of insecurity or fear that caused them to build up that kind of wall. The kid could just be a normal conceited moron, but the vampire sensed something else about him. It wasn't anything he had felt before and it was igniting the fires of his curiosity and interest. With a smile he replied, "I'd rather not be followed I'm new here after all an easy target." More relaxed now, he leaned on a pole keeping a close eye on the boy.
Vayne rolled his eyes at the whole marco polo comment. That wouldn't be a smart game to play late at night, especially when marco would eventually creep on polo's back ready to pounce. Vayne liked the way this guy carried himself though, it made the encounter more intriuging. He noticed the way he was being looked at, almost ogled and like any straight guy it made him a little uncomfortable as he shifted a little on the pole. Not only had he met a stranger who was interesting, but now he seemed to be checking out the vampire. There was no issue if the guy was into men, but Vayne didn't swing that way or play with that equipment. The next comment the boy made seemed to be proof he was into the vampire. Vayne stepped off the pole backing away a bit hoping to give the guy a clue he wasn't interested. "If I was looking for a booty call I'd be on call right now," he replied trying not to sound rude, "And I don't really swing that way sorry!"
