Today was technically his day off considering he switched shifts with a co-worker, but where did he find himself? At work, but just relaxing, he wouldn't be busing tables, he was off the clock. Instead he was playing pool, wondering where Caroline was at the moment, he had forgotten to tell her about the shift swap and he could've asked her on a date, but he neglected to. Now he was feeling a little down, well if she did happen to show up, he'd just have to make it a surprise then. He glanced at his phone for a moment, but there were no messages besides one from his mom saying she'd be out tonight. Great. Hopefully she would be okay, he didn't want to get a call in the middle of the night saying she couldn't find her way home. That would just ruin his day.
Matt hit the ball again, knocking a few in the holes of table, before continuing on with his game. He was playing by himself at the moment, mostly out of pure boredom. Ah well, he'd get over it, he couldn't accompanied by someone all the time. As long as he did see the Salvatore brothers lurking around, he was having a pretty decent day. Vicki was somewhere, where he didn't know but after awhile he just hoped wherever she was, she was okay. Her behavior had been troubling him lately, well, for a long time really but it didn't seem to get any better. Vick was Vick, she kinda just did her own thing, as long as that wasn't drinking and drugs than Matt wouldn't have too much to worry about. Ha, he probably wouldn't see the day that happened, but he could always hope.
It was about five, but Matt wasn't really keeping track, he had nothing planned for the night since everyone was busy so he had some time to himself. Though he did wish Caroline was here, ever since that night where he tried to cheer her up, suddenly the thought of her seem to cross his mind. It wasn't really a stereo-type thing, but it was ironic how he and the head cheerleader got together. Caroline was more than that, she wasn't a label, she was a person. He was hoping to help become a caring one, but there was only so much he could do. The thought of her made him smile, and he nearly dropped his pool cue. After giving a startled glance at a couple of the guests to see if they'd seen, he went back to hitting the billiard balls like nothing happened.
