Spell Casting: Since he is young and inexperienced, Luc's spells aren't really that controlled and many may go awry. Since he's a quick learner, his progress seems to be going rather well, but there are still several discrepancies when he does cast and that leads to trouble.
Potion-Making: His mother was an expert in this area, so it was only natural that he knows quite a bit about it. His knowledge about potions is pretty expansive, and this is the area where he has the most success.
Telekinesis: This is an ability he had inherited from his father, but like his spellcasting, he's rather inexperienced and cannot lift things less than ten pounds. He has very little control of it and sometimes, when he is overwhelmed or looses control of his temper, a sudden surge of it causes things around him to lift up momentarily before crashing down. Due to this, Luc has been increasing his practice on the ability in hopes of preventing that from happening.

personality:
Lucertus can be described as stoic, quiet and altogether non-romantic. He's not the type to go looking for love, unless it happens to sneak up on him. His life is his job, so it's fair to say that he is indeed, a workaholic. He's a very serious person and his sense of humor is rather bleak or sadistic at times. Growing up as an only child made it hard for him to really share growing up and he's not one to do so now. Lucertus's interest range from reading, writing, photography and sometimes an occasional video game, but that doesn't mean he doesn't know how to have fun. Lucertus was built on solid values, dealing mostly with his background and who he is. His appearance is pretty much whatever he feels like looking like that day, for he doesn't care about it.
Towards strangers, he is silent, and doesn't really make any social inclinations unless they speak first. He's respectful in a way but sometimes he just likes to be left alone. Towards acquaintances and friends, he's a lot more social, and there really is a marginal change from stranger to friend. However, he will hang out with you if he decides that he likes you, even if you’re not exactly his friend yet. It takes a lot to gain his trust, and even then, he hesitant to truly let you in. His private life is really private, he doesn't talk much of his family, his past or what he's currently working on. Lucertus is a master at small talk, and knows how to weave his way around subjects he wishes to avoid. Lucertus is very oblivious to flirting unless they are very straightforward about it, and even then he fails to respond unless he’s in a good mood. His actions can be described as rude, but he doesn't really care. It seems that being a bachelor is the only thing on his mind right now and he has level head and means to keep it that way.
Don't get me wrong, Lucertus can be generous, kindhearted and open, but he must like you a great deal to show you that side. He's always detached, calm and collected in public and around people face to face. Don't let his lack of emotion deter you from trying to befriend him; he's not one to ward off potential friends, unless they become a thorn in his side. Lucertus has two different numbers: one for that’s public and the other that’s private and will always be answered. People rarely ever get to have his private number; his own mother wasn't even allowed to know it until recently. His public phone is pretty much for everyone and anyone can usually reach him on that line, though he talks very little on the phone; he prefers face to face interaction. There's a lot that goes on in his mind, even if it's never shown on his face in his mannerisms. Lucertus is a very emotional person, he just prefers to hide them behind a mask. He's not one to cry but will show that he may be upset if he's truly beside himself about it.
It's very clear what he is like with the ladies: he’s a downright flirt, very charming but secretive, many find his enigmatic ways alluring. He has no problems shutting them down and moving on with his life however if he doesn’t like them, and he doesn’t really have too many girlfriends, has ‘dates’. He believed he was there to learn and nothing else. His friends were few and far between and no one even knew what his house looked like or if even lived with his parents. Technically speaking, Tucker is a wise man, and sometimes believes he is a very old man locked inside a younger man's body. Not only that, he reflects better with those older than he is, and can relate better to them sometimes. Tucker is an inside person and he has his share of fears: he's claustrophobic and hates messes. Everything has a place in his neatly arranged apartment and it annoys him if a speck of dust lingers on the surfaces of his belongings. A generally calm person, he never acts out angrily and is generally pleasant, even if the situation is not. Tucker can be a little awkward and a lot of times doesn't feel comfortable in his own skin. He has a hard time really relating to others his age and cares little for passing trends. He is who he is and so far nothing has changed his way of thinking. Yet.

Born in Berlin, Germany to a German mother and an Italian father, Luc resided there until he was three. After his third birthday, his parents soon took him to his father's estate in Wiltshire, England where he spent most of his childhood and preteen years. During his childhood, he often watched as his father beat his mother. It often brought him to tears, which in turn caused him to be hit as well. He learned to be a somber, quiet child, that began to ignore or even become numb to the fact of what his father did.
When he began attending school, this grew worse. If he didn't do well, he would be beaten. He never fought back, in fear that that his father would kill him. One day when he was in the seventh grade, his mother decided to leave and take her with him. His father became enraged, and brutally murdered and buried her somewhere on the estate. He made his son watch as he verbally chastise her, and it was revealed why she never fought back with magic because he had used the disempowered spell on her. Which explained why she was so useless against him. After her death, his father submitted a report saying that his wife had gone missing. Though there were suspicions that Florence might've done it, no arrests were made.
When he started high school, he became rebellious and soon became threatened by his father. Florence had explained that if Lucertus didn't do what was asked of him, he too would lose his powers. Begrudgingly, he returned to doing what is expected of him. Once he turned seventeen however, he couldn't take it any longer and decided to move away from England. He contacted his uncle, who lived in Mystic Falls and persuaded his father to let him go. His father agreed to let him go as long as he was under his uncles care and so it was set.
Lucertus arrived in Mystic Falls before school even began and finally met his uncle for the first time. During those two weeks, he learned his uncle was kinder than his father, and became very fond of him. School was a different matter, the fact he had to associate with Americans was a bit of a downer. He never liked how free-spirited and unconstrained they were, so that would be something he had to get used to. For now, he just wishes to enjoy his time away from his abusive father and start a new life here, away from his father.
