Until she met Stefan. Stefan made her realize that there were much better things in life rather than worrying about herself. Other than that, she also learned tons of stuff from her parents passing, and one of those things was how important family was. And she just hopes she won’t have to keep saying goodbye.

history:
Elena grew up in a loving, caring, and stable household with Miranda, her mom, Grayson, her dad, and her younger brother, Jeremy. She was a happy, popular, and beautiful girl. She was a cheerleader, had lots of friends, and was dating the quarterback, Matthew Donovan. She would never guess that her world would turn upside down. Her parents died in a car accident that changed her life forever. She was trying to live a normal life after this and stay strong for her younger brother, Jeremy. Her feelings were hid in her diary for her thoughts were dark and sorrowful after her parents’ death. She tried so hard to take care of her brother in this horrible time.
It was hard for Elena to return to school and get back in the swing of things. She and Matt broke up and it was hard at first. But soon, the two of them were good friends again. Elena was finding things were not as important as they were before the accident. Cheerleading seemed superficial and she felt that she was already growing up too fast. Elena wanted to shelter her brother from this. She still cared deeply about her best friends, Caroline Forbes and Bonnie Bennett. They were inseparable and she loved them dearly. She tried to be happy, but things were not easy. When a new student, Stefan Salvatore came to school, Elena finally began to see a light at the end of the tunnel. The two of them hit it off and Elena finally felt a true glimmer of happiness again. Their relationship developed and Elena found herself falling hard. When his secret was released, Elena did not know how respond. Yet, she was soon accepting and loving towards her vampire boyfriend. She did not care about his past, but only his future with her. Another wrench seemed to be thrown in their plans. Damon, Stefan’s older brother, was beginning to wreak havoc and show an interest in Elena. The young high school student was beginning to see a totally different world.
Soon, Elena was being noticed as a doppelganger, which is a paranormal double of another person. She was beginning to get more attention called to her than she liked. Things were starting to get very intense. She met the older doppelganger and vampire, Katherine, who seemed to automatically think of her as a rival. Elena was having a personal crisis of her own. Elena was anxious and conflicted about the situations that were arising. However, she refused to let any of her family and friends get hurt. She is willing to sacrifice herself for everyone. Elena knows trouble is brewing and she is starting to come to terms with it all.

Ronnie huffed, practically running towards the school’s main exit. Finally she thought as her stressful day at school ended and she saw people rushing to their cars or just waiting on the sidewalk to get picked up by family/friends. Her green gems moved towards the right side of the parking lot as Annabeth waved for her to jump in her blue, Mitsubishi Colt 1998. It worked fine and it looked decent. At least it was something. The reason Ronnie didn’t have a car was because unless she could buy it herself, her parents wouldn’t buy it for her. Then again, Ronnie turned sixteen recently and hadn’t gotten her license yet. She was waiting and waiting for the right time, but she had to get a job first which was an idea that she disliked just because she was a lazy butt. Her parents thought that if she was old enough to piss everybody over and still have a phone and a laptop, she was eligible to help out with the bills and manage things on her own. There was one good thing that came out of that, independence.
Ronnie took steps carefully and looked to each side as she crossed the road towards Annabeth’s car. She swung the blue door open and jumped in, closing it just as harsh and Anna glared at her.
“I’m nice enough to give you a ride and you want to mess with my car?” She scowled.
Ronnie couldn’t help herself, she let out a small giggle and rolled her eyes. “You exaggerate a lot, Hamster.”
“Don’t call me that!” She whined and made a pouty face.
“Then stop looking like that.” Ronnie laughed more.
“I’ll just call you Veronica!” That’s when Ronnie shot Annabeth a dangerous glare and chose to just let it go, now leaning herself back against the comfortable seat. She hated her name; It seemed stupid, annoying and pink. Thought she had to admit, being named after royalty was sort of cool at the same time. Annabeth put the key in the ignition and pulled towards the driveway. Sometimes it frightened her that Annabeth crashed in to a wall. The way she drove was crazy fast and it made her heartbeat almost pop out of her chest. Ronnie reached to turn the radio on and also turned the volume up so loud as if she wanted to block something from her head. Ronnie wasn’t usually this quiet and Annabeth began to worry.
“Ronnie –“ She paused as she glanced to look at her and then back at the road. “Are you okay?”
Ronnie looked at her and then looked out the car window. Her eyes followed different buildings, like a hair salon, tax office, supermarket, etc. It’s not that she didn’t want to answer Annabeth’s question, it’s just that she seemed too distracted, too deep in thought. The night before she had the most horrible dream.. But she couldn’t exactly tell what was going on from her point of view, but in another unknown view. Though she was already used to dying in her dreams, she had never actually felt the pain in her chest like she did when she woke up, neither had she ever woken up with tears in her eyes and she still had that in her mind. It stung in the back of her head like a persistent electric shock.
“RONNIE!” Annabeth yelled as she threw a punch at her arm.
“OW!” Ronnie whined as snapped out of it and her attention went directly to Annabeth as she stared at her in shock. “What’s wrong with you?” She asked her with a harsh voice. There was no reason for Hamster girl to hit her like that. They were usually like this, fighting and then loving each other to death.
“Well, you weren’t paying attention to me. I had to do something.” Annabeth replied dryly.
Ronnie hadn’t realized that they were already at her house until she looked out the window again. “S-sorry..” She said, blinking a few times and hugging Annabeth tightly, then kissing her cheek. “I’m just having a bad day, love. I’ll call you soon and thanks for the ride.” Once Ronnie finished her sentence, she let go of her and then got out of the car to stand out in the sidewalk. “I love you too and if you don’t call me tonight I’m going to rip your head off.” Annabeth flashed a wide and sarcastic smile and Ronnie waved until she drove away.
She turned to face her house. It had white and gray color shades and it was fairly big, two floors and had the nicest yard work in the street. Her parents weren’t rich, they just knew how to work hard. Ronnie took the keys out of her pocket and the dangling sound bothered her ears, so she quickly opened the door before putting her keys back in to the jean’s right pocket.
“Ronnie?” She heard a familiar female voice.
“Yes, mother?” She replied as she dropped her backpack next to the entrance and yawned, stretching her arms up to the ceiling.
“Dinner is in the stove, just finished it. Your father and I will be out tonight, meeting with some associates of us. You’ll be fine without us here, right?” A blonde, slender, middle aged looking woman appeared in front of her greeting her with a kiss on her cheek. As if Ronnie cared. She preferred being alone in the first place than being watched over every single second she was inside this house.
“Do whatever you want, mom.” She walked up the stairs, found her room and closed the door behind her.
Jennifer blinked a few times as she saw her daughter marching up the stairs. Ronnie seemed upset or just the usual teenager. But she learned the hard way not to push too much and just give Ronnie her space.
Ronnie flopped on the comfortable bed and let her eyes drift to her surroundings. Her room was small, the color of her walls were red and almost everything else that decorated the room was black and red. There was a desk in the corner of the room, where she did her drawings. Almost nobody knew that she was into art. The only people who knew were Annabeth and her parents. Not even Leo knew. She also sang, wrote, played the piano and composed. Her parents sometimes were shocked at the amount of things she could do. She also knew Spanish. She was special.. In her own way. But she refused to see it, or show it.
Her eyes fluttered, closing and her mind slowly drifted off to sleep.
I felt my eyes open and squinted, getting used to the bright light above me. With a small whine leaving my throat, I sat up. Every bone in my body ached horrifically and as soon as I sat up, I regretted it a million times. I looked around, trying to get sense of where I was, but it was nowhere I recognized. “H-hello..?” My voice sounded disgusting. I looked to where I was sitting and.. It looked like laboratory table? This couldn’t be right.. I rubbed my eyes, letting them close and then open again. But the same view was still there. It was silver colored and cold. I also realized I had a hospital gown on, the ones that opened in the back of your butt if they weren’t tied up. Luckily, they were.
“Ronnie, Ronnie, Ronnie.” A dark voice chanted my name and I froze in place. The voice seemed familiar.. But why? It didn’t belong to anyone I knew. At least I don’t think so.
The light went of and my heartbeat felt like it was about to explode. Then I felt fingers running down the back of my neck and when I turned my head to face them, I heard a ‘whoosh’ sound and they were gone. I jumped out of the table, the pain of my weight wanting to throw me down but I didn’t let it. I ran to where the door was supposed to be. But something blocked it, someone.
“No, no, no. You can’t get away.” He laughed, with cold intentions that made shivers run all over my body.
“Leave me alone.’’ I warned. I had to admit, I was scared. But I wasn’t going to let that be the death of me.
“Brave aren’t we?” I felt his face inches away from mine and his breath invited me to give in a-. No! It would be too easy. But why?
I ran the opposite way, to find myself bumping on some shelves. I knew they were shelves because if it weren’t because I was shoved out of the way, the heavy and loud things that fell to the floor would have fell on me and probably killed me.
“Now, now.. I don’t you to take away all the fun.” He said as he now held me against the wall, by the throat. I tried to swallow but it seemed almost impossible, I could at least breathe. But I knew, that whoever or whatever he was, he could easily arrange that.
“LET ME GO!” I found the energy and air to scream to the top of my lungs but it soon ended as he let go of my throat and his mouth began to hover over my neck as he yanked my hair back with his left hand, leaving me stunned and breathless.
“I thought you would know better.. But I guess I was wrong.” With that, I felt two sharp teeth ripping holes against my skin. And.. Death.
Ronnie woke up, screaming and gasping for air. Her hand went instantly to her neck as she got up from the bed and ran to the bathroom to look at herself in the mirror. Her hair was a mess, her eyes were the most strange yet wild green and when she removed her hand from her neck, she saw four, dark marks on one side of her neck and the other one to the right side of her neck, there was one and she noticed it was a thumb. “What the..?”
