Ezra had cut out of class early for no reason in particular, she just didn't feel like finishing out the day. So she had stopped by the garage to see her brother for a bit, who promptly mock-scolded her for ditching before kicking back and talking with her. Not about anything specific really, just the usual this and that. She stayed there until the high school let out, so her father wouldn't go crazy at her for ditching her last class, and took a walk. Eventually she found herself at the bridge. She hadn't even realized she had walked that far. She had thought about turning back and heading towards the town, but decided to stay there for awhile. The bridge was peaceful, quiet. A great place to just sit and let your mind wander. Which is precisely what she was doing. She was perched up on the rail of the bridge, her legs dangling back and forth, just looking off. Her thought were tangled, thinking of how things were, about her mother, and vaguely wondering what she was going to do with the rest of her day. She thought about maybe taking a walk through the woods, or going somewhere to grab a late lunch, but nixed the ideas as quickly as they had come. She was bored, and neither prospect held much chance of entertaining her. She fiddled with her phone, texting her brother for any ideas, of which he had none and told her to go do something. Fat lot of help he was. Sighing she pocketed her phone and leaned back on her hands. As she was sitting there, lost in her own little world, she hadn't heard the quiet footsteps coming up behind her. Admittedly, she didn't notice much when she was dazing, which probably accounted for alot of her clumsiness. But shortly there after she knew there was someone there. Her face froze for a moment, and her eyes glance towards the blind spot behind her, distinctly feeling the presence of someone there. She listened for a minute, hearing no breathing or movement. So she ignored what her instincts were telling her, chalking it up to that same feeling you get in the dark when it feels like someone is watching you. She tried to dismiss it, but it was grating at her. Someone had to be behind her, she could feel it. So slowly, and carefully so as not to fall of the rail, she turned around.

Lucas wasn't the type to run from anything but this morning had unnerved him. He hated losing control like that, he hated being unable to control himself. And how he affected the class, he couldn't go back could he? He had to move on again? He had kinda liked it here even if he hadn't remained here for long, a short night to say the least. And he wasn't a runner yet here he was, making his way from the town of Mystic Falls.
He slowly drag in a sharp inhale of smoke from his cigarette as he moved, his duffle over his bag. He wasn't sure what he was gonna do. Where he was gonna go but he couldn't hurt these people. This morning was an good example of how dangerous he was. He may seemed like he doesn't care but he did. He doesn't want to hurt anyone yet he had no choice. Even this morning, it wasn't his fault. He couldn't control how he sometimes affected people.
Maybe if they weren't so fucked up. He thought as he stopped his onward progression. Why was he punishing himself for something that wasn't even his doing. He had to want something to happen for it to happen. He hadn't done that intentionally, so why did he care? He shook his head at himself with a groan. "Screw it." He muttered as he stopped himself from leaving this town, from being an total weakling. He nodded to himself turning and headed back toward the town.
It was just so easy for him to not care. So easy for him to give into that empty coldness inside of him, it was almost freeing. He held onto his shoulder strap as he walked moving heading back toward the bridge now as he noticed a girl sitting on it now. She wasn't ther earlier when he passed it. He wondered who she was and as he got closer he got an impression from her, she was lost in her own thoughts giving him a little blankness.
She felt bored as well, lost for what to do. He found it so easy to get inside people's head and souls now. What was happening to him. Before he came here he couldn't do that. Was this thing growing inside of him? Getting stronger, he noticed the girl turning to him as he got closer and for a moment he got a bit of fear from her curiosity. He perked a brow slightly as he looked around. "Is Freddy Kruger lurking?" He asked absently as he stopped walking a little looking her over.
She was cute and her eyes were nice like his own. He may be gay yet here lately he just doesn't seem to care. Once again he doesn't know what was happening to him. "If you're a jumper don't expect me to have a few comforting words to save ya? I could give you a little nudge though. That's helpful, right?" His little dark humor coming out then with a little smirk as he shrugged slightly. Okay he was an asshole a bit.

Ezra saw the boy who was giving her the feeling of being watched. He was cute, and looked like he was leaving for somewhere. Or coming to Mystic Falls. One of the two. She let out a small wave to him.
"Is Freddy Kruger lurking?"
She laughed lightly, looking around. She was glad to see he had some kind of a sense of humor as opposed to most of the people shed run into before. All serious and do. And gloom. You'd think people would be a bit more friendly in a small town.
"Hmmm. Not that I've noticed just yet. I guess we'll have to give him a few more minutes."
She shrugged. She hadn't expected anyone to show up on the bridge, but it wasn't unusual. In fact, in light of her boredom. It was a rather welcome surprise, provided he wasn't just passing through and would be gone as quick as he came.
"If you're a jumper don't expect me to have a few comforting words to save ya? I could give you a little nudge though. That's helpful, right?" While she was still sitting, she leaned over, her hands gripping the rail. It was a long way down no doubt. She looked back and shook her head.
"Nah, not a jumper. But if I was I'd probably be thankful for the nudge. Raincheck maybe?" She joked back, hopping off of the rail onto the bridge itself. She walked over, her legs a bit tingly from sitting there for so long.
"I'm Ezra. I don't think I've seen you around before. Coming or going?" She introduced herself, holding out her hand.
