Elle moved the hair out of her face. Today was one of those days where Ellie found herself bored out of her mind. She sat in an office chair twirling herself around as someone brought more and more clothes out for her to try on. She stopped for a moment and looked at the things. “Fashion is just not what it use to be.” Was all she said before getting right up and strutting out the front door. She slipped on her sunglasses and looked up and down the street before crossing. This little town was supposed to be THE spot to be, but she was finding it disappointing.
The girl pulled open the door to the Grill and entered the dim atmosphere. Even though food did nothing for Elle, she still loved the past time and tasting the flavors. It was the only thing she could thing of doing at the moment. When you are bored, you must eat of course. The blonde pulled her sunglasses off and let her light eyes roamed the room before she went to the counter. The girl knocked the wood and smiled her sweet smile. “Hey babycakes.” She winked and leaned onto the counter. “Could you just be a doll and make me some extra crispy fries and a cheeseburger?” the guy looked at her with his own smile before nodding and getting on it. “Thanks.” She chimed.
Elle turned on her heel and scanned the place. Where could she sit? It didn’t take long before she found a table by the pool area and took her seat. The girl leaned back into her chair and began her natural routine of watching people. Each day she would come in and just watch. Sometimes she would go introduce herself and make a few friends, but at this moment, watching was enough. Her focus was on the two men in front of her playing pool. One was losing completely and the other was not. It was going on for a while, even when her food was brought out.
Soon enough the loser’s debt was increasing from their ongoing bet. He was sure he;d win at some point. Honestly he wasn’t, his rival saw it, and Elle did too. “Time for a little fun.” Every time the underdog tried Elle made the ball go in with a slight flick of her finger. The girl munched on her fries when the other looked at his rival in disbelief. “You hussled me.” Escaped his lips when the game was over. Someone was not happy about losing. Elle smirked at the scene as the new loser grew red in the face. It was now time for the show. Elle sat back and sipped her water before taking another bite of her burger. “I wonder if he’ll hit him.” She muttered under her breath. “That would be a hoot.”

This was one of those times that Stefan wished that his compulsion powers were stronger than they actually were. He seriously needed a drink. Unfortunately, he was forever seventeen and forever underage. So if he wanted a drink, he had to get one at home, which in turn meant he had to deal with either Damon or Katherine and he wasn't in the mood to deal with either of them. Therefore, he was at the Grill, sitting on a stool with a Regular Coke, wishing it was a Scotch. He then turned to watch two people playing pool. Well, this should be interesting, he thought to himself as it was abundantly clear that one of the players was losing big time. They had been playing ever since he had gotten here a few minutes ago and the vampire could honestly say that he had never seen anyone suck at pool as much as this one guy did. This is embarrassing and sad. Why am I still watching this? he wondered to himself. Oh, right. Because there was nothing better to do.
He continued to watch them for a few minutes and then became aware of a new scent entering the Grill. His eyes clouded. What was that? It wasn't a vampire or a witch, and it didn't have the same scent of power he had gotten from Tyler Lockwood, though he wasn't sure what it meant coming from the boy. As far as he knew, Tyler was human. And so was whoever had just walked in. However, there was also something else about the person. Stefan didn't know what it was, but he could sense that it was strong. What is that? he wondered. They already had enough to deal with with Katherine being back. They didn't need some stranger causing trouble as well. He watched as she went up to the counter and ordered something, which was brought to her shortly. Then, he turned his attention back to the pool game.
When the pool game was finally over, he saw the loser stare in disbelief and then he accused the other player of hustling him. "No he didn't. You just suck at pool," Stefan stated, as he slid off of the stool and walked over to the players. "You lost fair and square. Pay up," he continued. Okay, maybe getting in the middle of this was stupid considering that getting hit would actually hurt considering he only drank animal blood, but he could probably take a hit better than this other guy. He then heard someone muttering about a punch being thrown, saying that it would be a hoot. Great. Someone who lives for a fight. Wonderful, he thought to himself, rolling his eyes. Well, hopefully, this wouldn't end up going in the direction that the person was hoping...
OOC I didn't wanna godmod the pool players, since they're technically your players, so I didn't have anything happen.

Elle raised an eyebrow at the person who interrupted the conversation. Not just that, but the moment she muttered her thoughts he rolled her eyes. She couldn’t have been that loud. The girl stood up. “I believe just a moment ago big shot was the one losing. Now he’s winning. It is all very strange.” The girl nodded looking innocent. She could not help getting in the middle of this. The blonde moved her hair off her shoulders and looked at them. The men looked large, but she stood there with no fear. “My, my.” She looked at the pool table. So she made the loser the winner. So what? One of the men muttered she was right before taking a step forward.
The girl placed a hand on the man and shook her head. “This is business you take outside and handle with no ladies around.” Elle nodded before looking at the ‘hero’ of the group. She then sighed. Maybe she could take the heat off of the guy. She let a warmth leave her hand and go into the guy. “Or you two can be men and give up this childish behavior.” She looked at them both with a look of authority. “Nobody gets money, just forget it.” Her eyes went straight to each pair of eyes before she patted them on the chest. Something in the air around them shifted and the men looked a bit off before they shook hands and parted ways. Elle then crossed her arms and looked at the vampire standing in front of her.
Every creature around had an aura about them. Being who she was, Elle could see it. This one here held one of a weak vampire, probably living on something not human. The girl raised an eyebrow at him. “I’m guessing you don’t like fun.” Then girl rolled her eyes this time and took a seat before she put her hand over her water. The water went from clear to red, water to wine was one of her favorate tricks. She then took a sip. She knew no one but the guy was probably watching her. In order to watch drama and make it happen, she could not be singled out or connected, she knew how to blend in.

Stefan stared at the men, trying to gauge how he could pull this off with as little as bloodshed as possible. The last thing he needed was to lose it right here in the Grill. But what could he do besides take a punch? His powers weren't as strong as Damon or Anna's. Heck, even Vicki was stronger than him and she was a brand-new vampire. Maybe he should rethink the whole animal diet. He then gave himself a mental shake. What was he thinking? He couldn't go down that path...never again...
The girl stood up and Stefan kept a wary glance at her. Who was she? And what she was up to? Though, actually, the better question was: what was she? She was partly human, but there was something else about her. The smell was driving him a bit crazy. But he just had to focus. When the girl mentioned that one of the guys had been losing big and then had been winning, he turned to her. What was she doing? How would she know what these guys had been doing? This isn't making sense, he thought to himself. He was about to move forward when she got in front of the pool players, stating that they should take their business outside and that no one needed to get hurt. He then watched as the two men shook hands and went out. "Nicely played," he complimented. Not sure how she did that, but if she is something supernatural, I'm not going to let on that I know, he thought to himself. At least...not until he knew a bit more about her. For all he knew, she was just passing by and had no intention of letting people find out who or what. Therefore, he wouldn't expose her. Hey, everyone deserved to keep their own secrets as long as they weren't hurting anyone.
He watched as she sat back down, stating that she got the feeling that he didn't like fun. "Oh, I like fun just fine. But I have my own idea on what defines fun that differs from most people," he replied, taking a seat next to her. If she was talking about a bar fight that could end in bloodshed, then, no, he wasn't a fan. But if she was talking about getting smashed listening to Bon Jovi, he was all for it...not that he'd ever let anyone see him like that...but that was besides the point.
He then glanced at her as she placed her hand over her glass. What's she doing? he wondered. To his surprise, the liquid changed, going from water to wine. Well, that's kind of cool, he mused. "Nice trick," he approved. Well, she's not a witch. Not the right scent, but what is she? he mused to himself. He had a feeling that this was going to bug him until he figured it out. He then took a sip of his coke before turning towards her. "I'm Stefan," he introduced himself. She probably wouldn't give him a name, but hey, he could at least say that he had tried...

The blonde looked at the hands shake before smiling at them. “Good boys.” She told them but they didn’t think twice of her pet comment. The boys just went on their way. One left to one side of the bar and the other walked on out. Gabrielle looked at the vampire and smiled lightly. She gave a shrug, “They were getting boring anyways.” This girl wasn’t completely blood thirsty. She liked a good fight now and then, but death wasn’t what she was after. Gabrielle liked drama and fun and she wanted it around her all the time. Like in her books or when she crashed an important event. She was always there somewhere in the background.
The vampire sat in the empty seat at her table and she glanced at him. She took his profile in. Elle raised an eyebrow at her company and smiled a bit. “What is your type of fun then?” She placed her elbow on the table and rested her chin on her palm. Her green eyes laid on the vampire giving him a curious look. She was definitely interested. Everything about the world interested her. And at this moment, he was able to grab hers. She picked up her now wine and took a sip. She let the flavor go through her buds before she swallowed the liquid.
The girl smiled. It was a good trick honestly, but way too cliché for her book. That was a lie, Gabrielle was a complete lover of clichés. The blonde reached over and grabbed his drink. She took a sniff of it and raised an eyebrow. “No compulsion for some poison? Baby doll, that ain’t right.” Her gave him a look before putting her hand over his cup. “What would you like? Whisky, bourbon, scotch.” She paused and caught his eye, “How about blood?” she smirked at him as she waited for him to answer. Yeah, it was a low blow, but hell she wanted to see his reactions to it.
“Stefan?” she knew that name. She read it somewhere, she was sure of it. “Lovely to meet your acquaintance.” She smiled her sweet smile. “I’m Gabrielle.” She sipped her wine again, “Or Elle. That name works as well.” She nodded.

Stefan watched as the girl voiced her approval at the men before they left and then stated that they were getting boring. Interesting. So I guess she's not a big fan of fights, he thought to himself. Either that, she had truly gotten bored with her game. He knew that he had halted certain types of attacks when he was hunting the founding families back in eighteen sixty-four. But usually it was because he had thought of something more diabolical to torture them with, such as convincing Tobias Fell to stab himself in the heart with his kitchen knife. Whoa. Where did that come from? he wondered to himself. He hadn't thought of those nights for a long time, and yet, recently, those nights as a Ripper had been cropping up in his memories more and more. But why? That didn't really make sense. He was trying to forget those days, not remember them.
At her question of what he considered fun, he smiled. "Getting smashed to Bon Jovi, preferably Wanted Dead Or Alive or You Give Love A Bad Name," he replied. Especially if he was with Lexi. Lexi. He really missed her. Why did Damon have to kill her? Oh, right. Because he had promised him an eternity of misery and killing his best friend certainly fit that bill. Stefan wasn't sure if he could ever truly forgive Damon for that. But he wouldn't focus on that right now. He was just going to focus his attention on the girl next to him. A girl who smelled of Power, though he couldn't quite place it.
He stiffened when she mentioned not using his compulsion to procure himself a drink. She knew he was a vampire. This was not good. What kind of creature was she? A witch? No, that didn't fit. She didn't have the scent. He tensed even more as she placed her hand on his Coke and asked him what he preferred, naming a couple of liquors before going in for the low blow and mentioning blood. How do I play this? he wondered. He had no idea if this woman was a threat to him, his brother, Elena, or her friends, so he'd have to tread carefully. "Scotch," he responded softly. Hey, he was going crazy here, so a little indulgence couldn't hurt.
He then nodded as she responded with her own introduction, saying her name was Gabrielle, and then adding that "Elle" worked as well. "Hello, Gabrielle. Pleasure to meet you," he said politely. And it was nice to meet her...for now...Whether or not being in her acquaintance would stay a pleasure would remain to be seen. One thing Stefan knew for sure: if anyone tried to hurt Elena, he'd stop them by any means necessary, even if it meant letting the Ripper out...

Elle grinned and straighten up. She clapped her hands together in approval. “Good music and liquor. Cannot go wrong with that.” She was beginning to think this young man was a good choice in company. “Though I prefer Duke Ellington and Louis Armstrong. But they are forever my favorite. Other than Frank Sinatra, he held a gorgeous voice.” The girl waved her hand a bit and the music changed to Bon Jovi, no one noticed the change in music. She looked at him. “Do not expect me to always be this nice.” She had a reputation to uphold, but honestly nobody around here knew her. She kept a low profile until pictures were looked upon. And even then you had to be looking for her to actually find her. They didn’t call her Loki for nothing. Where she went, trouble seemed to creep on in without an invitation and no one but her lover of choice knew what was going on.
The air around the vampire changed and Elle took it in quickly. She watched him as he answered. His liquid went from a dark brown to dark amber color. Elle looked at him. “Loosen up my friend.” She leaned back in her seat and sipped on her wine. “I have decided,” the girl took a pause to drink some more, alcohol hardly affected her. She need large upon large quantities to do anything for her. But she still loved the taste. “That you are more friend than toy. I like you so far.” It wasn’t in a romantic sense but more of a, she knew who to make friends with and who she could toy with. He wasn’t going to be one of her victims. She finished her wine and gave him a sweet smile. It was friendly and didn’t hint that she was planning something mischevious.
The blonde nodded. She placed her hand over her cup and it filled once more. But she placed the cup down and picked up a French fry. “What is your take on eating?” She munched on her fry. “I mean, I totally do not need to eat, but I love it so.” She nodded. It was nice to talk to someone so openly. She had more than a feeling than nobody gave mind to them, so she sat content and relax. The blonde took another fry and munched on it. Her eyes watched him playfully. “Oh dear I just realized, you have no idea who I am, or well what I am.” The girl giggled. “I think I can guess you never been near my kind before. I have yet to have the pleasure to meet another formally.” She placed a hand on her heart before picking her glass back up and sipping from it.

Stefan let out a small laugh as she straightened up and clapped her hands together, approving of his statement, saying that you couldn't go with wrong booze and music, though she preferred Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, and Frank Sinatra. All good artists, he thought to himself. They all had very distinct voices and he had liked hearing the big band albums. There was just something about the era's music that seemed to soothe him sometimes. "Yeah, they're good too. But I have a fondness for Bon Jovi," he replied. And a lot of that fondness came from the eighties when he and Lexi had gone to that concert. That had been a blast. They had danced all night. Oh, he missed those kind of nights. And he missed Lexi. He took a swig of the Coke turned Scotch and grinned as the beginning strains of Wanted: Dead Or Alive began. Yes, that hit the spot. He began to sway in time to the music as he began to sing along. Lexi, our theme's playing, he thought to himself. His friend was right. This was their theme. He raised the glass up in a silent salute. Here's to you, Lexi, he thought to himself before taking another swig of his drink.
He paused momentarily as the girl told him to loosen up and that she had decided that he was more friend than toy and that she liked him. "Thanks. I think I'm going to like you too," he said as he resumed his dancing. "I mean, someone else who likes Bon Jovi? That's pretty rare these days," he told her. Then again, it wasn't exactly the same. This girl hadn't shared that night with him like Lexi had. She hadn't seen him get completely smashed and then have to stumble into a hotel room.
When she began talking again, he turned to her as she asked him what his take was on eating was as she didn't need to eat but she loved it. "It staves the cravings, but Scotch or Bourbon works better," he responded taking another small drink. Well, it wasn't like she hadn't guessed what he was: she had mentioned blood, which meant that she knew that he was a vampire. And yet, he had no clue who or what she was. As if sensing his thoughts, she stated he didn't know who or what she was, going on to say that he had never seen someone like her before and that neither had she. "Well, you obviously know that I'm a vampire. I'm not sure what you are though. You can change a coke into a Scotch, and you can change the music on a jukebox. But you're not a witch. You don't have the scent. What are you?" he asked.

She smiled at Stefan, “Rock and jazz, what a combination!” Elle giggled. They girl was having fun with the vampire already. Just getting to know his choice of music was entertaining. Not to mention he did not dismiss her choice of music. He handled himself well and it was something of a good quality much more people needed. Elle was not one of the people who could do that. She would just shrug it off, though Bon Jovi was a great artist, that was something she could not shrug off. The guy next to her seemed to relax a bit when the song came on, like he held some comfort towards him. He even drank his now scotch. Things were going well so far and Elle didn’t feel the need to spice anything up. Nothing like good music and liquor, Elle was completely right, it set the mood and kept her from causing trouble.
Stefan continued to sway only pausing for a moment. “Good.” The girl nodded. If he wasn’t going to like her, the vampire was going to have a big problem. He now knew her and he was going to have to deal with her for a while, up until Elle’s boredom kicks in. “You are not surrounding yourself with the appropriate people.” Elle pointed out her reasoning before taking her wine and drinking it. She moved the glass a bit and swirled the liquid in its container before drinking some more. The blonde just could not get enough of her wine. She looked at Stefan. “Hope you have no plans tonight, you are going to be showing around Mystic Falls. I want to know everything!” She decided it for him and drank the rest of her wine before refilling it.
The girl gave him her full attention as he spoke. Food was more of a distraction, but alcohol had more effective qualities, that definitely was interesting. Elle didn’t know that feeling. She went a week straight without food when she realized she didn’t need food. She just continued to eat and eat, never being satisfied, but never really being bugged by hunger. “So you fight your cravings instead of indulge them?” she raised an eyebrow, “You’re not normal.” She shook her head. She knew a few vampires who just gave into their cravings. They were just good at covering things up. But he seemed to be fighting the cravings by lowering their bothering pokes.
Now the conversation was on herself. She sipped some more wine and took another bite of her burger. She was going draw this out. She chewed a bit and then looked at him. “Oh? What do I smell like then?” she took another bite. “I bet I smell heavenly.” The girl laughed at her pun and sipped some more wine. “I am a Nephilim. half human, half angel. Irresistibly entertaining and fun. ” The girl stated simple before biting into burger. She chewed some more and took in a bit more wine. “This is just divine!” the girl mused and struck another French fry in her mouth.

Stefan nodded in agreement as Gabrielle commented on their music choices. "I know, right? That's one of the perks of being a vampire. You get to actually live through it," he smiled. Well, except the twenties. He had no clue what he had done during that time period, but that was beside the point. The point was that they seemed to have similar taste in music, which was kind of nice. He hadn't had someone who understood his music tastes since Lexi. Oh, there were people who had liked a few of the same songs or artists, but to find someone who liked the exact same blend as he did---that was definitely rare.
He then laughed as she told him that he was surrounding himself with the wrong people "Yeah, you're probably right," he agreed. "My brother for instance, well, I actually don't know what he listens to besides Taylor Swift---and don't knock her, she's pretty good---but I can guarantee you that it ain't Bon Jovi," he continued. Not that he had actually stuck around to figure out what Damon's musical tastes were, but really, why should he? Sure there were times that he wished that he could get back the closeness that they once shared, but he knew that it was impossible. Damon had promised him an eternity of misery and that's all he could expect from him. He took a drink as she continued talking, saying that she hoped that he didn't have plans as he would be showing her around Mystic Falls and that she wanted to know everything. "Yeah, I can show you around. It's no problem," he agreed with a smirk. I think Lexi would love her, he thought to himself.
At her question about how he approached the cravings and her statement that he wasn't normal, he gave a rueful smile. "You have no idea," he told her. "Me and human blood---it's not a good mix. I tend to get a little---crazy. So I stick to animal," he continued in a softer tone. Not that he liked it, mind you. He didn't. In fact, he hated it. There was nothing he'd love more than to be able to drink human blood without risking a blackout, but he knew that it was impossible. Just one drop of the real blood that he craved and it was over. He'd be going on a killing spree that would make his brother look like a choir boy. No, living on animal blood was safer...even if it meant that he was starving all the time...
She seemed to be surprised at his wording, and asked him what she smelled like. "Human---partly, but I---I can't place the other scent," he answered truthfully. But it smelled pretty powerful and he had a feeling that he didn't want to have to fight this girl. His brows furrowed in slight confusion as she joked that she probably smelled heavenly. What does she mean by that? he wondered. When she revealed what she was, he stared at her in surprise. "Half---angel? How is that even possible?" he wondered. He had never heard of something like that. Then again, he was only 162, so he supposed that it made sense that there could be creatures that he hadn't heard of. He then let out a smile and shook his head at her comment as she popped a fry in her mouth. "Yeah, it's not bad. But other than taking away cravings, I don't really need it," he stated. Okay, granted, there were some foods that he liked more than others, but it didn't mean that he needed to eat. "I mean, I'll eat something to keep up appearances, but..." his voice trailed off, unsure of what to say. He then took another swig of his Scotch. He had been going slow with the drink wanting to make it appear that it was still a Coke, as he tended to drink soft drinks slower than his liquor. He never understood why he did it, he just did...
