To be forever eighteen was the gift Elle was given. She loved being eighteen and nothing had changed. Sure she looked quite young, but after a few years in one town, people thought you aged. Here though, was a new place. No one knew her and she was back at eighteen. She didn’t feel like becoming sixteen and going through the whole highschool thing once more, it was a drag the last time and honestly, Elle thought she wasn’t missing anything this time around. This time around, she’d be here not as long, but she was going to make it one hell of a time.
Gabrielle ran a hand through her hair before taking both hands up to fluff it. She then dabbed her lips with her ring finger to even out her lip stick before smacking them together. She gave herself a wink and kiss before turning on her heel and heading to her door. What was today going to bring? The girl stepped onto the side walk and looked around. No one around. The girl took off in incredible speed to stop in the shadows of a building. Who needed a car when you had badass inhuman speed? Elle looked around before emerging from the shadows and entering the heart of the town.
What to do? Elle let her legs carry her around until she was found opening the doors of the local library. It looked like today was a day to study more about her past. The blonde looked around the library before finding an empty computer. She moved the mouse and looked at the screen. “There things are dreadful.” Elle didn’t like technology too much. Sure it was exciting and new, but once the flare was over, it was just another thing she had to learn to live with. Good thing though, well in a library, it told you where to look.
She clicked a couple of links before writing down names of books and heading off on her search. She had a pile of books in her arms when she found her own little corner. She took a seat on the floor and sighed happily. Only thing that was missing was a little more light. Elle gave a wave and the problem was solved. Time to work. Elle opened up one of her many books and began to read with a wide smile on her face.
