history: Klaus was born to Esther and an unknown man, in a small village that would eventually become known as Mystic Falls. Klaus has six half-siblings and a step-father named Mikael, a wealthy landowner who moved with his wife Esther to the New World after their home village was devastated by a plague. Klaus was close to his family with the exception of Mikael, who was inordinately hard on Klaus. Many year before Esther had a affair with in the village next to them that had werewolves in it.
Some time later a killing was done. The wolves had killed the youngest in the Mikaelson family; Henrik. Klaus was with him and had to carry him back to there village telling his family. That action of what the wolves did made Esther and Mikael do something to protect there family. They turned there children into the first Vampires, even Mikael himself. Soon after turning her children into vampires Esther places curse on Niklaus which forced his werewolf side to lie dormant, and then rejected and abandoned him. In retaliation, Klaus murdered his mother, and framed Mikael for the act.
1492 Klaus and his brother Elijah was in England. That was when they met Katherina Petrova. the doppelgänger whose appearance he had been awaiting for five hundred years. His plans became in motion as he was planning on using her in a ritual. So he kept her entertain until the full moon, but she found out his plans and what his was. She took off running with the help of one his of people that worked for him and ended up killing herself with Rose blood in her body, now she was free from him to use her. As she did that act, he tracked down and murdered her whole family for her defiance.
In the 1920's him and his sister Rebekah was in Chicago in a popular bar. That was where he met the Ripper vampire Stefan Salvatore. They become closer then friends, but like brothers in that time. That night, the speakeasy they were at was attacked, apparently by the police, though it turned out the raid was led by Mikael. Before he left, Klaus compelled Stefan to forget him and Rebekah. Later, when he and Rebekah were about to leave Chicago, Rebekah told Klaus that she was tired of running and wanted to be with Stefan. Klaus then forced her to choose between him and Stefan; she chose Stefan. This made him so angry that he neutralized his sister with a white oak ash dagger, then took her body with him in a car and left Chicago.
Now Klaus has arrived in Mystic Falls. He a new threat to everyone, and the problem is no one really knows him on what he can do. What is he after? What is his plans? No one knows as he causes fear to go through a town he once grew up in many years ago; known now as Mystic Falls.

role play sample: The cool night air went through the sleeping town known as Mystic Falls. The moon was out but it wasn't a full moon, but it didn't matter. It was a perfect time to pay a little visit to an old friend... at least those were the thoughts of Klaus. He had one dark jeans and a black t-shirt. He looked very nice as he just arrived in Mystic Falls after being gone for so long. But before visiting his old friend, he had to feed first, the hunger building deep inside him.
He walked down the streets of the darkened town, no one to be seen at least that was what he thought until he saw a young women wondering the streets on her own. A playful smirk came to his lips as he moved over to her, and acted like he wasn't looking and bumped into her. "Oh. Im sorry. Are you alright?" He asked, his accent coming out with each word he spoke to her. At first the women looked at him, and then blinked at his accent. A small blush came to her lips. "Yes I am fine. Sorry it was my fault. I wasn't paying attention to where I was going..." She said quietly as she looked down the streets seeing no one was out. "And its in the middle of the night... great." She said with a small sign. Klaus raised an eyebrow at her, still playing his little game. "What is wrong with it being in the middle of the night?" he asked, being curious but once again just playing with her.
"Haven't you heard? There are animal attacks happening here all the time. Its not safe to be out." She said her voice was hinted with slight fear. He did a small assuring smile at her. "Well I am new in town, but if you wish I can walk you back home, so no harm comes to you." The women looked at him for a moment and then nodded. Klaus and the unknown women went to her apartment. As she opened the door she looked at him. "Will you come in? I can get you coffee or something for a thank you.." She said. Klaus smirked. Women were so easy to toy with when they are humans. "of course." She nodded and they both walked in. He shut the door quietly and as she moved to go the kitchen, he had her by her throat and pinned to the wall. She was about to let out a scream, but he covered her mouth looking straight in her eyes. "Your not going to scream. In fact your going to be quiet." Her eyes went dazed for a moment but then she stopped fighting him. He smirked and his eyes darkened, along with black veins going down his eyes. Oh how he was hungry. He was going to rip her apart once her was done... a wicked smirk came to his lips as her eyes widened at his face. In a blur he yanked her head to the side and sank his white fangs deep into her neck. The blood rushed in his mouth and he drank it all. Her body was tense and she wanted to scream but she couldn't. Slowly her body was going limp, Klaus killing her off. He let go of her right before she died from blood lose and snapped her neck, watching her drop to floor. He smiled down at her and stepped over her body going to door. He wiped his mouth off and opened the door stepping out. "Now lets get back to business." he and in a blur he was gone, and out of site.
