The Boogeyman, Pitch Black, vowed to destroy all of childhood's belief in the goodness of the world. The "Big Four" Guardians: Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy, the Easter Bunny, and the Sandman, recovered from the brink of ruin and drove Pitch back into the shadows where he belonged, with the help of the winter-bringing rascal named Jack Frost.
I am the painted faces, the toxic kiss; sowing of doubt, troll beneath the bridge
I am the desert-scape, the sand inside your hourglass; I am the fear and abuse, the leper children -- every eye sewn shut.
Fast forward ten years to 2022, and the Boogeyman is never content with hiding in the shadows; he's coming back with a vengeance, and he's rallied others around him, others like him who embody the dark things in the world. This time, it is the Guardians versus the Anti-Guardians. Powerful new beings are being chosen by the Man in the Moon on one side and the Nightmare King on the other.

The Earth will never be the same again, war is brewing, and magic and mythology have manifested for children and adults alike to see for themselves. Both sides have to give it all they've got if they want to tip the balance. With the darker side of human nature already clashing so dramatically with the light, nobody can say who will prevail.
