personality:Not much is known of Amara's personality, but from what has been seen in flashbacks, she seems to be a young, innocent, beautiful and elegant lady. Silas called her an angel, hinting at a highly virtuous personality, however, as Qetsiyah's handmaiden, it was also highly unlikely that she was unaware of Qetsiyah's strong feelings for Silas, or that Silas was using Qetsiyah to attain the secret of immortality. Amara could be seen as slightly selfish by nature. Qetsiyah says that Amara was someone who was close to her yet Amara betrayed Qetsiyah by falling in love with the same man she was in love with and engaged to be married to (Silas). Amara seemed to have zero regrets about betraying Qetsiyah in regards to Silas, as for Amara, her love for Silas was strong enough for her to go through with betraying Qetsiyah. In the present time, Amara has become human once more after 2,000 years due to consuming the cure for immortality through Silas' blood. After being cured, Amara desires to die in order to end her 2,000 year suffering. It is clear that though her love for Silas was indeed very powerful and strong, as for her, it caused her to sin, her desire for death to end her pain was just as strong. Amara kills herself as a mortal by stabbing her self. She has presumably crossed over to the metaphysical plane where dead human souls go and where she is finally at peace.

history: Amara was born some time during 1st Century , during the Biblical times. Over 2,000 years ago in Ancient Greece, Amara fell in love with a young, gifted and powerful witch named Silas. Amara was Qetsiyah's, also a powerful witch, handmaiden. Despite Silas and Amara's love for each other, their love was forbidden, as Silas was engaged to be married to Qetsiyah. Silas desired to live forever with Amara, therefore, he desired immortality. Silas manipulated Qetsiyah into creating an immortality spell by telling Qetsiyah that he doesn't ever want to be parted from her, even by death. Although Qetsiyah was in love with Silas, Silas did not reciprocate Qetsiyah's affections, as he was in love with Amara. Silas had planned on using the immortality elixir for himself and Amara instead of himself and Qetsiyah like he had promised. On Silas' wedding night with Qetsiyah, he stole the immortality elixir that he and Qetsiyah were meant to consume and consummate their eternity together. Silas and Amara drank the immortality elixir together and become the world's first immortal man and woman. Feeling betrayed, Qetsiyah tracked Silas down and discovered Silas' secret and the truth. Qetsiyah discovered that Silas' betrayal was even worse than what she had or wanted to believe. Not only had Silas given her immortality spell to another woman, but the woman whom he gave her immortality to, the woman he chose over Qetsiyah, was her own handmaiden, Amara. Feeling angered, enraged and betrayed by both Silas and Amara, Qetsiyah created a cure for immortality, which she revealed to Amara before desiccating her. Qetsiyah confronted Silas and offered him the cure and made him believe that she used another cure on Amara and had killed her. Silas went into his hideout and on seeing blood everywhere, believed that Qetsiyah had brutally killed Amara. On top of it, Qetsiyah showed Silas' "Amara's heart" in her hands, telling Silas that she had slit Amara's throat and cut out her heart. After faking Amara's death, Qetsiyah lured Silas to a remote island and entombed him with the only cure for immortality, hoping that he would take it and die a mortal death, so that he would cross over to the Other Side. After Qetsiyah desiccated Amara, she used Amara as the physical anchor for the Other Side, binding its existence to her immortal life. Qetsiyah needed the anchor to be something both indestructible and eternal, hence Amara, who was immortal. After Qetsiyah was murdered by the travellers, they took possession of Amara's body. They moved it around for over 2,000 years, ensuring that no one will find it or have access to it.

role play sample:The tiniest of flicker of imagination would have made people believe that they had seen someone walk by, Seen someone walking through out the city, However the fact was that not many people actually saw Amara as she walked around the city. Whenever she was around others she practically ran at top speed to get away from them, and when she was alone she was studying the city and the people within it. So much had changed since she had been imprisoned and moved around as if she was a paper weight, So much that Amara found it hard to grasp even the barest of concepts. The outfits were different, the atmosphere was different, And most of all it seemed that maids such as herself ceased to even exist in this lifetime. Many times she had pondered what a triumph her ancestors must have felt when that had ended, But the fact was her heart was lost back to memories of what could have been. Before she had a family, and also she had Silas.
Her eyes closed as she envisioned the old days with Silas, his charming nature that had won her over. With a slight brush of his hand, and his words he had stolen her heart. She had never meant to betray Qetsiyah, But one could not deny that which was in their hearts. She had believed that Qetsiyah would forgive her back then, That with as close as they had been that it would only make things rocky for a short period of time. She had never thought that her mistress would have entombed her for many centuries, Let alone did she believe that she would curse her as she had done.
Slowly her eyes opened as she stopped her train of thought, glancing around noticing only a minor bit of people within the city. The early evening moon had just taken its course, and with it all the stores had found themselves closed. Amara was not blessed with a day ring, and in such she could only glance through windows at the dress that she fancied. She desired greatly to buy one exceptional dress, Still classy but also more tamed down to the standards of this century. Her own dress was out dated, and in such she felt more of an outcast then ever before. Her hand touched the glass of the shop and trailed over the dress, and she sighed softly before speaking, "Oh how I wish I could buy you, Oh how I wish I could touch just the sheer fabric that is your making." She then moved her hand down, her eyes going over every inch of the beautiful fabric. For once her guard was down, and for once she saw nothing but the fabric before herself for even the briefest of the moments of time.
A small sigh gasp escaped her lips the moment she heard someone speak and her hand flew to her lips to conceal them before she nodded and spoke softly, "Forgive me, I hadn't seen you approaching." She stopped herself from bowing before the other woman, assuring herself that everyone here was the same as the next. She eventually lowered her hand and nodded speaking softly, "I have always worn these sorts of things, I am afraid I know little of the clothes of this age." She knew she spoke to freely the moment it left her lips and she quickly offered a hand and spoke softly, a smile on her face "The name madam is Amara, And yours is such a beautiful name if you do not mind me saying such."
The breeze blew through between the two girls, and for a moment Amara wondered what the air must feel like on a human woman. Would it send shivers down their spines, or would one enjoy the breeze and take in its silent whispers? For a moment she found herself slipping into her own thoughts before the other spoke and she rose an eyebrow swiftly, This woman called her a 'little dove'? Only back in her previous life had she ever heard of people speaking in such terms.. Only when she was still living.
Nodding she spoke softly, "If you would indulge me that would be wonderful, It will be the grandest pleasure if I can simply touch that dress there. But please you must'nt buy me anything, I have a few coins that I can pay for just one thing. I simply cannot take from you, I barely would be able to contain my thoughts if I took advantage of someone so wonderful and polite as oneself." She then caught herself chewing lightly on her lower lip and stopped herself enough to bring a small smile to her lips.
Amara could not deny that the comforts of a bed and a bath was something that sounded fantastic, especially a nice warm bubble bath with scented candles. She smiled inwardly to herself as she followed the other into the shop with ease. She listened as the two spoke to each other, such non formality in their speech. Did all people talk to each other in these terms here? She smiled politely as she was refereed to and spoke softly, "You have a beautiful shop here madam, I especially adore that dress out front." She listened to then as they seemed to tense when it came to her, and for a moment Amara had the feeling that Tegan did not fully trust this woman for one reason or another. Then they were walking on their own and Amara couldn't stop the question that slipped from her lips, "I cannot help but feel the tenseness that surrounded that moment, Might I ask if everything is alright?"
She began walking towards the dress, unable to stop herself now that they were in the shop. As her hands touched the fabric she smiled and looked to the price. It was a good bit of money, But she was lucky that she had more than enough that she had been given. She smiled as she picked up the hanger and held it close to her body. She turned with happiness to look back at Tegan and spoke with happiness in her voice, "It looks delightful, would you not agree?" She laughed softly and then moved it putting it over her arm and then spoke again, "I must have that, But please can you show me more that would actually allow me to fit in with today's society?"
She wanted desperately to fit in, But she did not know that even with modern clothes that she would be hard to miss in this age. She was after all one of three that looked like herself that wandered this city, and surely she would figure that out within a few days of living here. She twirled on her feet and looked around as she then sorted through fabric awaiting the other to guide her if she wished. Amara enjoyed clothing, But she had never had the freedom to pick and choose like this and she was quite out of her department. She saw much fabric of many varieties, and it was all too much to simply choose one thing over the next.
Amara became wary the moment that she was told that it was because of her, and she spoke softly, "Would that woman know who I am, Would she tell others and chase me?" She flicked through a few more dresses and quickly found herself engrossed once more, But she couldn't help but occasionally looking up to find the woman. She found a cute top and held it up and spoke softly, "Is this more this season, Does it fit me you think?" She rose the shirt to herself as she heard the sentence and spoke softly, "I was born in greece, Beautiful place if one had the chance to see it. What with all the temples and beauty at every wake, I could not view them all being the handmaiden that I was, But I have heard many things about my hometown that makes me wonder about returning, If only it were that easy as that."
She did not add in any details about Silas, Maybe it was because she did not trust the woman that was lurking in the shadows of the store that may over hear. Truth be told she was also distracted by a beautiful pair of satin pants that caught her eye that would look splendid with said shirt from before. She grabbed the shirt and hung it above the pants and looked up at Tegan. Raising an eyebrow she smiled happily and then spoke again, "Do many girls this age have the pleasure of walking around whenever they please, Does no one stop anyone from doing whatever it is they please?" She then rose a curious eyebrow.
Amara took in everything that Tegan was speaking about, and for a slightest moment was jealous that she herself had not been better off that she was. That was, she was only jealous for a moment before setting her mind to a thought. If Tegan could do these things, Then surely she could do them as well. She knew a bit about history, and she was fairly quick to learn things. She rose an eyebrow and spoke softly, "So if one was to desire to go to school, Can anyone simply go? Or what is it that one has to have to be able to go to school. I do believe that I desire to better myself, Perhaps love shall not be the only thing that I live for anymore, Let alone what I die for." She laughed softly, and then she heard about shoes and lifted her skirt to look at her simple house shoes and cringed as she turned and looked at Tegans shoes.
She observed Tegans shoes for a moment before speaking herself, "I do believe something a bit more nicer than that which I have now, But nothing too elegant and extreme." She smiled and walked with Tegan as they moved towards the shoe section, she observed several options around herself before picking up a nice pretty high heels. They were only slightly heeled, and shouldn't have been too awkward to get accustom to. She bent down to pick them up one by one and then stood up holding them and speaking, "I do believe that this simple brown would go well with that first dress I picked out, And the slight heel.. Would that be too hard to get accustom to?" She rose an eyebrow and awaited a reply, looking down at other shoes while she waited.
For a moment she thought of her age before speaking, "Will not my age make things look oddly being in high school? I am over two centuries old, Do things like this happen alot in high school?" She was not sure all together what high school was, But she had to admit that she was eager to see what it was. She picked up another pair of shoes, turning one this way and that before placing it back down. She then picked up several more, before finding a higher heel but a neutral black color, She showed them to Tegan before speaking, "These ones are cute, And I think they could go along with anything, Do you not think?" She then rose an eyebrow.
After a minute those were looped over her arm and she was once more looking through the shoes. She grabbed a pair of sneakers a few steps away and glanced at them before speaking, "No heel, Are these popular or will it just look like the ones from my past?" She rose an eyebrow bending down and picking up the cute black and white sneakers and turning them this way and that way in her free hand.
She listened as Tegan spoke before putting them over her arm and speaking herself, "I do believe that I have enough for the moment, I can only gauge how much all of this will cost. I simply must find a way to repay you for this, I will not forget I promise you this." She knew nothing of jobs for women, or how she could make money. However, she never promised something without making good about it.
Amara blushed slightly at the comment of looking as a 17 year old before speaking softly, "I was only in my wee youth when I married Silas and got imprisoned, I suppose I could thank the imprisonment for keeping my youth intact at least." She then smiled softly, as she listened about the sneakers she placed them over her arm and nodded. She smiled when she spoke next, "I did love to walk, I cannot suppose I will hate it now."
A few minutes had passed before they had made it out of the store and Amara finally looked to Tegan and spoke softly, "I would not do anything less then live, I can assure you of this. But there is one thing more important to me than living, and that would be love." She stopped talking as she thought of Silas. She rememebered every touch, every feeling.. She imagined seeing him again and sighed softly before speaking softly, "I do wish that I knew where he was now, and more so I wish I knew if he were still alive."
Another sigh escaped her lips before she turned to Tegan and spoke again, Hands holding her bags, "Are we walking to your home, I do not suppose you live to far away." She had not ran with her vampire speed in some time, But she could feel the desire to get somewhere in her bones, Maybe it wasn't even somewhere that she had hopes to be. She blinked her eyes, seeing a faint glance of what she thought was Silas, once she had blinked however he was gone. Slowly her heart sank a bit, But none of this showed on her face as she looked happily towards Tegan and awaited direction.
Amara nodded and agreed, although her eyes as well as other senses scanned the area the moment they had left the building. There were a few humans scattered by their vehicles to the left where they were walking away from, and only one other person that she could feel in the area but couldn't see clearly. Most likely this person was not actually on this plane, but instead was someone wishing to step through to the other side. Her stride quickened slightly as they walked to the car and she watched as the car was unlocked and Tegan began making her way to the trunk.
Amara deposited her items into the trunk along with Tegan and spoke softly, "Such beautiful things, I simply cannot wait for that which lies ahead." She laughed softly, her laugh soft and child like before she watched the trunk close before making her way to the opposite side of the car. For a moment she simply looked and touched the car, another thing that had not been from her time before she reached down and opened the door slowly.
Sliding down and into the seat she looked past the door as she closed it and nodded before speaking, "This is certainly something of the new decade that one will have to grow accustom to." She let her tongue flick out and lick her lips slowly before she turned to look out the window in front of herself. A body stood directly in front of the vehicle, and his eyes were upon Amara as Tegan started the vehicle. As they drove forward she gripped the seat and door a bit tighter and with held the painful gasp as the other passed through her and they continued driving.
