She’s to afraid of the past repeating itself because it already has, over and over and over again… At least with her. It terrifies her to think whoever keeps killing her is going to find her again, it’s the reason she ran away from home.

Ashley Marie Iris was born February 14th, but to understand her life you have to understand the life of Charlotte Rose. Charlotte Rose lived in mystic falls her entire life, born and raised, and she was a proper lady. She was blonde and quite pretty but she had no interest in any suitors her parents picked out for her. She dreamed of a life of adventure and when some strangers moved into town, she got her wish. He was a mysterious stranger, perfect in every way but her family didn’t seem to trust him. The reason why? He was a vampire of course. Charlotte’s family was very protective of her, especially her twin brother who eventually gave his life to save charlotte. This stranger swept Charlotte off her feet immediately but her family did everything they could to prevent it. When her brother confronted the stranger with a gun, the stranger killed him. Killed him right in front of Charlotte.
Knowing Charlotte had seen she screamed, screamed and ran but he was fast. He tried to convince charlotte to go with him but she refused and she continued screaming. The vampire killed her and with her Last breath Charlotte swore she would never forget him and that she would haunt him for the rest of her life. Little did she know she did. Charlotte was reborn into many girls. All in a town where the vampire stayed and lived. He saw Charlotte in them and despite the fact that he loved her, he killed them all because they threatened his existence.
After many girls late, Ashley was born. She was never a frail child and she looked the most like Charlotte. Growing up Ash had nightmares about Charlotte and her brother had the same one about Charlotte’s brother Alexander. Each night was a different nightmare and no amount of therapy for Ash could fix it. She grew up being the freak, the weird girl who still had nightmares about vampires. Ash knew it was more than that but she kept it a secret. She became closed off to everyone, even her family. Becoming Sarcastic and hardened, not letting anyone pierce through her shield. Eventually one day she up and left.
She had a job and saved up enough money from that to escape Windsor. She moved to mystic Falls just because it felt safe to her. She didn’t even realize it was the place Charlotte grew up and was killed. She met a guy named Skylor. He was two years older than her and realized Ash had run away. He didn’t say much about her Sarcasm and he offered her a place to stay. Ash was, and still is, very Wary of Skylor. She doesn’t fully trust him enough even if he is letting her stay at his house for free. Ash has a job now and she can pay Skylor but he turns her down every time. It irritates her but she’s secretly glad Skylor is letting her stay for free.
She’s enrolled in high school only because it’s her final year. With work and high school she hasn’t had a lot of time to think of the monster from her past but somehow she knows he’s coming back and she wants to be prepared. Thanks to her past lives previous warnings she knows his face, how he moves, how he acts and what can kill him. She only knows of him and even if she thought there were other vampires she hasn’t made a move against them. She’s preparing herself to kill the man that killed her and end this vicious cycle of death and re-birth once and for all... That is if she doesn’t fall for him again.

role play sample: The Library. A quiet place for students to read and do research for class or just because they felt like it. With rows of books it was like heaven for an avid reader like Ash. She swore if she could, she’d live in the library. Every week she took out several different books and always finished them just in the nick of time before they were due back. She would spend quite a bit of time here if she wasn’t at home scribbling in her notebooks trying to come up for a decent plot for her next story. Right now she was stuck in the middle of her story. She didn’t quite know which direction she wanted it to go so instead of pushing her writers block, she’d read a few books to try and make it disappear.
Walking in quietly with her iPod plugged into her ears she never had any problems with the librarians. She was already quiet outside the library, she usually didn’t have anything to say to people. When she did speak it was usually something sarcastic. That was her defence mechanism, being Sarcastic all the time. After some... family problems, Ash learned it was better to shut people out than let them in and be hurt all over again. She was still wondering if she should Google the guy her mom was talking to that day, figure out if it was possible that he was Ash’s biological father. It was just another thing that was killing her to keep bottled up.
She sighed and shut her iPod off as she walked up and down the aisles of books. Taking off her giant headphones and letting them rest around her neck she began pulling a few books off the shelf. She didn’t know what they were about, she knew they looked interesting. Ash was all about first impressions, if yours sucks I guess your SOL with her. Ash Picked up a book and read the back of it, one of the characters names was Ashton. She put it back right away. She wouldn’t read anything with the name Ashton because that was her name. Since her and her brother liked to switch around a lot and the doctor couldn’t tell if ash was going to be a girl or a boy he told her mom she was going to have Healthy twin boys. Well she was surprised when she ended up having a boy and a girl. By then it was to late and she had already picked the names. So ash was stuck with Ashton.
If anyone brought it up she was quick to shut them down. She had issues with people calling her by her full first name and during school it was the joke of the class to have a girl named Ashton. Family was another thing too, her brother got picked on a lot and Ash was usually the one defending him. She knew Michael hated it but Ash did it because she felt guilty that it was her fault that he wasn’t as healthy as he could be. If only he was born with the ability to manipulate fire than maybe he would have been the stronger one and he’d be able to do what every big brother dreamed of doing.
Ash took her pile of books and went to find somewhere quiet to sit. Looking at the cover of the first book on her pile she smiled. Pride and Prejudice and Zombies Ash had read Pride and prejudice but she never read the spoof of it. She thought it was hilarious how people could turn anything into a joke just like she could be completely sarcastic in any given situation. Reading over the back she flipped to the first page and began reading the book. She always got lost in the imaginary world of books when she read, maybe it’s because she was a writer herself or maybe it’s because she wished she could live in them. Either way it was hard to get her attention once she started reading.
