^{So this is Alaric Saltzman, Mr. Saltzman (as the students call him), or just simply Rick. Simply put, he's a smart, great guy with a good head on his shoulders. Of course, he had that tiny mishap with an undead ex-wife and almost got killed by someone-who-shall-remain-nameless (cough). And ironically, he teams up with that someone-who-shall-remain-nameless once and a while. As far as the undead ex, a bit of compulsion got him over that mess and he's moving on to other things...like Jenna Anyway, good ol' Rick is looking for some plots. He can be very blunt at times in conversation but also very clever, he's just easy to be around. But of course if push comes to shove and he sees something that's not right, he's not afraid to bud in and get his hands dirty - that kind of trait might be a good set up for enemy making. Oh, and he also knows his way around vampires, which...I don't know...it might come in handy at a place like Mystic Falls buuut you never know (I kid! LOL). So who wants to plot with Alaric, who is...apparently on "team badass"? LOL}

Ok well Alex is a senior high school student at the high school that he teachs at. she s witch, and kows about the vampires in mystic falls,having a neutral opinion on them.
I don`t know what we could do with that.

I'm in. I can offer both Damon and Dakota. I'm sure you're already aware of what Damon is like and as far as a plot there, maybe he enlists his help trying to figure out what's up with the Lockwood's since he knew the mayor wasn't a Vampire, but what was he?

Dakota is a witch who is around Alaric's age and teaches at the school. I have no idea whether they'd get along at all or wind up enemies. Especially since he has a plot with a student, which is wrong. But yeah, that's what I've got. Lemme know which one, both or neither and we'll plot it out from there

Alex, reading your profile, it says you rock at history. Maybe for some reason Alaric gives you a lower-than-normal grade on your paper and you possibly get frustrated (kind of like, you're struggling in these other subjects and now she can't even get a break in history?) and you talk with Alaric after class? See where it goes from there...they really can be enemies of friends at that point. Maybe eventually (in the distant future perhaps) both of their secrets (her being a witch, Alaric being a vamp hunter) can come out. What do you think?

Damon, I love both of those ideas with both of those characters. Alaric will definitely try to see wth is going on with Dakota if he senses something fishy. And a thread were Damon tries to enlist his help again has some very humorous potential I'm in for both lol

Meredith and Alaric

This should be interesting There were a lot of changes in the show for Alaric, but as a nod to the books I think Meredith is going to have a little crush on him. Feelings resonant from another life, but that's just her

As for other plottings, since in the show Isobel was the parapsychologist instead of Alaric, we could say he was accompanying her to investigate someone claiming to be attacked by a vampire. Probably around 7-8 years ago. And maybe he comforted a small girl who was a relation of the man? We could even rp that out in the past board if you wanted.

More recently, Meredith just moved back into town so she'd have to meet with the teachers of the school. If you agree with the past stuff, then she could start recognizing him there.

That sounds good Admittedly I haven't read the book series *hides* But yeah that sounds great. I can start that thread up if you want. Say Rick is in the classroom finishing up some things and Meredith walks in, wanting to talk with him because she recognizes him? That sound about right?

lol, don't worry about not having read the books. Alaric was a parapsychologist and visited Meredith's grandfather while doing research in the past. Meredith remembered him when he showed up in town and knew he wasn't just a history teacher. Later, they end up in a relationship. That's about the gist of it all and you can see where I was coming from with the plot stuff

But yeah, she'll be walking in to show him that she'll be joining his class and get the feeling of familiarity.

DAMON, lets start with one of your characters for now, since I'm afraid I might get overloaded lol. Could you start it? I don't care which character you pick, which ever you have more muse for -- and I'll jump in

Well Ruby is a vampire and Alaric is a vampire slayer. So naturally, it would probably be expected that they would be enemies. Then again, Alaric is sorta on good terms with Damon who is also a vampire. I'm not sure how well Ruby and Alaric would get along. She would definitely flirt with him though because that is how she is. Her ring would probably give her away as a vamp though. Maybe. Or maybe he figures it out without noticing the ring. He is a vamp slayer after all. He probably knows the signs. Just no staking her lol.

Divine here was offered a philosophy teaching job at Mystic Falls but, turned it down because she did not want to stop bar-tending at the Grill to be a teacher. She likes her bartending job and has a masters in Philosophy. I think it would be cool if these two knew about one another a little bit in a teacher faculty way.
